Before he got injured, Fred had gone back to back with goals. He won't be going anywhere in January. Gossip and Facebook family nonsense.

The Wanderers facebook stuff is like a nightmare... idiots...idiots everywhere.

After a player earns their fifth yellow card and sit out a game, is it another five yellow cards before their next suspension, or is it less?

They get another suspension when they hit eight I believe. There is an amnesty at some point later in the season though where everyone goes back to zero.

Pio won't start, Vido won't start, Bridge won't start, Andreu prob won't start & Alberto prob won't start.

And nor should they. We have a strong squad & we should use it. Gol Gol, Santa, Pepper, Aspro, Sotiro etc are made for these games. Keeping the squad fresh is important & managing the long term fitness of some of our elder foreign stars is imperative.

The B team will come in looking to impress & will do us proud.

From the A-League Disciplinary Regulations:

5.3 Further to clause 5.2, unless otherwise specified in the A-League competition rules, a Player who accumulates the following number of Yellow Cards during the course of the Regular Season, must serve the following mandatory match suspensions:

(a) from Round 1 to Round 21 of the Regular Season, five (5) Yellow Cards equates to a one (1) match suspension; and

(b) irrespective of whether a Player has received a one (1) match suspension under clause 5.3(a), eight (8) Yellow Cards during the Regular Season equates to a one (1) match suspension. For every three (3) Yellow Cards thereafter, an additional one (1) match suspension.

5.4 Further to clause 5.2, unless otherwise specified in the A-League competition rules, a Player who accumulates three (3) Yellow Cards during the course of the Finals Series, must serve a mandatory one (1) match suspension.

Don't think it is ideal that we rotate that heavily. I don't mind 2-3 players rotating (max 4) but not too many. Andreu, Dimas & Alberto are our key players in our new style of play so they must play but happy to rotate our two wingbacks & front 4.

I wouldn't have a problem with resting one of our Spanish midfielders and perhaps Alberto.  I think it would be unnecessarily risky to not have at least one of our two Spaniards in the midfield play tomorrow.

I guess you're right, gives either Pepper or Baccus some game time so if Dimas or Andreu get injured then these boys are able to come into the team & perform at a certain level/style.

I guess it comes down to the players workload & whether any particular player needs a rest. From my perspective, I'd rather play a strong team & bring home the points while we are in good form.

Well Pio, Bridge & Vido are injured. Dimas will play next to Pepper. Aspro, a ball playing CB, will play next to Topor. Alberto only just coming back, no need for a game & 12 hrs fly time. This is why we have signed these squad players. Popa has nearly defined his managerial tenure by ensuring there is only a small margin between his weakest & strongest components. Heck he had Jason Trifiro running the midfield in the ACL.

I wouldn't even fly over half the squad. That's a major part of the issue.

We will pick up injuries along the way to key players & the squad needs to be ready. Perth away is traditionally where they cut their teeth.

Mmmm......

- Alberto has played the last 3-5 games hasn't he?

- Pio is fit again & needs game time/fitness under his belt

- Vidosic injured? Haven't heard that one but I know Popa has been quite cautious with him

I agree that Popa loves a good rotation but don't feel he will rotate for rotations sake & will only do it if people are injured or pushing into the "red zone".

True although Perth have warren out marinkovic 50)50 so on wouldn't take an average squad there they just beat

Fofanah, MacDonald, Alessi, Bridge, Reddy, Cole, Shabow, D'cunha, Baccus and Youlley all trained at Blacktown today.

Hamill's whereabouts is a bit of a mystery, although I've mentioned previously that he's on the outer

Good to see Cole back.

Surely Hamill's going elsewhere. Not even training with the team indicates he's not in the future plans

**** yeah Cole, let's see some Shannon magic like the time he bent Guangzhou over.

He's hasn't traveled to Perf.

He's one of 10 or so, which also includes Bridge, that trained today.
