Well not the best night we could have hoped for, called it early coz I'm so tired. Tomorrow night should be a bit better, now all the pressure is off.....

It's ok Melvin I won't stay out too late because I will have church on Sunday morning....  :ninja:

Those of you who went to the Four Kings had Calendar Girls next door...and Dream Girls about 50 metres up the road...I guess you noticed.

Who cost us the Plate?  Sydney FC  ( a crap team that we could not beat all season ) or Piovaccari ( a Marquee striker that couldn't score )

Bridgey's chance in the 93rd against ADE?

The team's collective nap in the final 15 against Roar?

The refs in the first derby, the first home game against ADE, in the second City away game, in both VIC away games? Their decisions cost us 6-9 points.

Refs didn't cost us anything in that second Vic away game. Even if Georgevski was sent off, we were never going to score that night. It just would have probably made it 1-0 instead of 2-0.

One thing we can't blame is the refs. They are universally s*** and not responsible for butchering chance after chance. Plate is gone, it is what it is. GF will do I reckon. Completes the set.

That's quite a statement to make. Few big calls went our way, but a lot against us. These big calls change games.

You don't think it would have made a difference for VIC to play with ten men for all of the second half?

It's not just bad calls involving us though. For every one that we feel aggrieved by I bet fans of Brisbane or adelaide could find ones they were pissed off about.

Oh was that you talking to my mum the other day? She did mention a total hillbilly she'd never met came and asked about me.

Look you'll be surprised Dmixtaaa to find that I sometimes crap the bed. Unfortunately explosive liquid defecation knows no boundaries, and by the morning it has dried up and embedded itself into my sheets. So yes it does go crusty. Why you were making fun of my poor mother mother for having to clean this up I'll never understand.

I would never engage in the activity you are referring to. It's like killing off millions of potential me's. I'm saving up the world's biggest money shot for some lucky lady some day!

All this talk of pokies and wanking ............nothing about the absolute butchering of the Premiers Plate campaign when the Plate was there to be won in canter. Big hole in the trophy cabinet - some hard questions need to asked.
First of all, good to see you back. Oh how I longed for us to be out of the race for the Plate just so your positive self could return. And FYI, WSF is not full of sycophants who refuse to criticise the club. I'm sure in your months of lurking and preparing for your wondrous return, you would have noticed many posts criticising different aspects of our play.

You're not being criticised for criticising the team. You're being criticised because while we were dominating, you went missing. You had ample time this season too write a positive post. Now we're out of the race for the Plate, you come marching back.

While I disagree with you on many points, I agree with you on one thing. Some hard questions do need to be asked.

These questions include (insert Seinfeld theme):

- why is it that groups of 5 insist on walking side by side on a narrow walkway?

- how could we have gone to the moon, but still can't invent an unbreakable zipper?

- how is it that some women can bare leg waxing, but still be scared of spiders?

- why isn't the groom called the 'best man'? If he wasn't the best man, would the bride be marrying him?

It's a not bad thing that your teams forum is an echo chamber. If you say things against the grain anywhere then you should expect to have your ideas tested.

To avoid criticism: say nothing, do nothing.... be nothing

Caught the flight over with the squad. Josh Sotirio sat at 29A by himself...

Spoke to popa at customs, trying to get a hint at the starting XI but he wouldn't bite

Lol

The way our final third was operating that night, no. They just would have dropped someone else back, meaning they would have been less dangerous with the ball (which us why I say 1-0 instead of 2-0), but they still would have prevented us from scoring. We never looked like hitting the target.

I just rang Sky Sports NZ to complain they are advertising us as Sydney Wanderers v Wellington Phoenix. I explained the East West demographics of Sydney at length and the girl sounded very sympathetic. They have accents over here.

No, they have "uccents".

Why didn't I post anything positive you ask.

Simple , why post it if you don't believe it.

As the season started and progressed anyone with any football nouse at all would have known we couldn't win the Plate unless the other contenders completely collapsed.

Why ?  - a pop-gun attack compared to the other contenders, a pussy-footing around bullshit tiki-taka style which was easily countered even by shite teams, complete lack of tactical flexibility to address the current state of the game, dead ball skills in both attack and defence of a NPL2 side ,  frustration and angst of our crowds I never seen before in most of our games resulting in  poor crowds for some games. I could go on with more but why bother.

As for the GF don't care about it - just a consolation end of season kick around lottery. As with the rest of the world coming first is what matters.
