3-1.

Aspro just played himself back into youth league :(

Yes, it was definitely poor by Aspro but he had a good half otherwise.

If anyone played themselves back into the youth squad, it was Sotirio. He was awful tonight

Sotirio def didn't have his best game.

Young McDonald did Ok again I thought. Alberto is a very good player. Very very good.

Lol I don't fear competition i thrive on it. Lol All good

Haha glad that's clarified then re Aspro.

And you're safe on the radio front.. they wouldn't have me, I don't do colloquial Arabic. They tried to get me to report sports when I was 20. I got the sack after 3 days.

Disagree on McDonald. He needs a lot of work and is not good enough to play in the first team.

I know he's not a favourite of a lot of people on here but Nichols showed a lot of quality.

Somehow I tend to feel better with Redmayne in goals. Romeo was a class above the rest and was the only good news today.

I hope that this friendly was used to eliminate all the stupid mistakes otherwise, its going to be another long disappointing season

Jack we're in bay 4 if you want company

Lol , just reading this now! Thx for the offer! :)

For a while there we were they only ones in Bay 1. It looked like we'd been sent to the naughty corner. We shimmied over to Bay 4 so we could really soak up the atmosphere  :ninja: There was an old dude with a swingy, twirly thing that made an awful racket. It was great

There weren't too many positives from tonight that I can see other than I'm glad it wasn't for points....

Nichols and Castelan sensational, as for the rest I don't believe anyone made a claim for a starting position. I think we will struggle at the back and I really don't know why Covic wasn't given another year, maybe politics, but I'm sure an out of form Covic is way better option than the current 2 GK we have.

Errrrrrr.

Someone say something positive, I'm getting worried,......

Was it that bad?

The Nix looked very solid!   ;)

LOL... I knew who I was watching whilst watching their team  Could barely name any of ours.

Guess I have some homework to do.  :cheeky:

Nichols and Castelan sensational,

:good:

It was quite comical at times, especially the build up to the penalty. The spaniards were given a good intro to a fast paced pressing and counter attacking game, A-League style. Both Dimas and Alberto seemed quite slow when compared with the Phoenix' imports. Romeo as CAM is excellent, and Jamo was good.

I know it was only a friendly . But based on tonights performance Its going to be a long season. Phoenix way better than us in every dept. "fed" "fred"s performance at no 9 imo was a

shocker. Admittedly he got pretty ordinary service but he looked very slow, poor touch and not fit and more than a few kg overweight. The pen he missed summed him up...

RBB sat down all of the second half . And did not sing at all. Not sure why ?. Lots of cops and seccos tonight for a frienfly looked very intimidating from

Bay 50.

what happened to the rbb tonight, atleast with this performance Popa knows whom, his strongest eleven are. Redmayne is our no,1 hands down

Yes why did we stop singing after half time?

Redmayne might be our number one but gee his distribution was poor, Bouzanis seemed like he couldn't hold on to the ball & a bit shaky. Have no idea who our number one will be, wouldn't Bouzanis wearing the number 1 & starting mean something?

Nichols was good, Sotirio out of sorts. Jamo and Neville did little, and the Spaniards seemed vague or too phsyical. NTS was pretty ragged too.

The Nux came out to play in the first 20 mins and took their chances with Bonavecia showing a lot of class. Surprising that more people don't talk him up as the buy of last season. Welly had about 3 chances to our 6 before the end of the second half and they took almost all theirs, we didn't take a single one.

Having said that it could very easily had been 2-2 if Pivaccari had slotted home that pen. He muffed it badly, and then Aspro doubled the pain.

Below the level of our game against Roar at the Riff, and not that happy. However before the alarms bells start this was a relatively meaningless friendly. Plus everyone can see there are some serious stylistic adjustments being made. Just like Gombau's Reds took plenty of time to get into their tikki-takka rhythm, it'll take a few more games for El Wanderers to get their all in order too.

Being honest I think it's all part of popa's master plans, let's not play a full strenght 11 keep my aces close and piss all my fans off

Being honest: I doubt you have fans.

Other than that: there's still memberships for sale. Get one. A dedicated fan such as you wouldn't want to miss out.
