So I checked the weather. Today 35 sunny, tomorrow 40 sunny, Saturday 25 afternoon showers......must be game day!

I would take showers over a 40c day every time, glad the change is due through late Friday.

The Nux are deff our bogey team at Parra, never beaten them there, last time was at the Riff. Also games against these guys at Parra have been god awful entertainment wise. We are due to give them a good smashing at Parra, but they always seem to lift their game for this one.

Will be a hard game.

Just small correction bro.. beat them on the day of the famous 20th minute post silent protest. **** game though!

im still fuming I dropped Pio last week......

I kept the faith, this week I'm going to make him captain. I'll think he'll thrive with the added responsibility

I thought we lost that game?

We won 2-1. Two penalties. Shinji in the first half, then Bridge in the second half.

It was our 9th win in a row.

Forgive my ignorance, I know the silence was for a 'brother banned', but what were the exact circumstances? Was it a flare?

cording to some).

Same reason what was brought up in the senate inquiry a couple weeks ago. No right to appeal for bans that were deemed unjust. Edited by Erebus

Boy it was hot that day. Was sitting above the Nix bays, the sun frying brains en masse. A few family guys in the family area shouting something about sheep...

Yes, it will be a difficult game, as usual. Popa referred to the Nix as being "well coached". They are indeed.

I wasn't as keen on the Wanderers back then as I am now. (Even though I'm technically not even a football fan now according to some).

Argh don't listen to them dude! We need your beer! .... I mean, your support... :ninja:

******* Wellington man... Always have been and always will be our bogey team!

With the way they've been playing and we've been playing, a total outsider would fancy our chances.

However someone with inside knowledge knows that ever since that damn hurricane goal that slipped through Covic in season one the wind always changes when we verse these pricks.

We got this.

Good chance to show how much progress we have made since they made us look like a state league side in preseason. We are a much better side now and we are due against this lot.

1-0 nts to dribble through their whole team and unselfishly set up pio for a 2 yard tap in.

Im excited for the game :D

After a **** hot week working outside on powerlines covered up looking like a fluro orange sperm, i am relishing the thought of a mid-20 degree afternoon on the Northern Terrace watching our boys take on the best of Wellington

Alberto in for Aspro expected to be the only change to last weeks starting 11.

Romeo to be on the bench, unless Popa chooses to rotate one of Mitch, Dario or Bridge.

He might not like the splinters, but Romeo coming on as oppositions tire is a weapon.

totally agree. If he wasn't so fragile he'd probably start but this way he can make an impact week to week. Maybe he should play this role going forward (not that he'd like it).

Just if he starts two games or more some soft tissue will almost certainly pop.

He needs more than 15 minutes though. Give him 25-30

You know that when they say it will cool down over the weekend with possible showers it means biblical rain, tornados, hail and snow.  And that's before we've even reached half time.

Agreed, introducing Casta at around the 60th - 65th min mark is about right, depending on the game situation of course.
