Popa's comments : We've got Jonathan and Brendan Hamill ready to step in

Hopefully he is only thinking about Brendan as a CB now...

Yeah i have seen that quote and wanted to puke lol. I get nervous whenever i hear about Hamill starting a game.

Ok with the NTS news we need the squad development page re-opened.

Burns or Kruse?

There's a guy who plays for Blacktown.. Dann--

Signed for adelaide short term.

But still we should be doing what we did in the first round. Borda's suspension allows us to play hammil in his natural role, and also bring familiarity in the centre of defense wether it is him or Aspro who starts alongside Cornflakes.

And bring in a natural left back in Clisby.

Last weeks brand new central partnership and out of position left back only made life harder.

Bring on Burns!!!

I honestly want someone to tell me why kruse would come back?

He's almost an automatic starter for the Socceroos granted he isn't a club regular but I'm sure he can get another gig

In Europe, he's playing in Germany which is generally well respected.

I get the whole aim big thing but let it go he's not

Coming anytime soon

Yeah he is talking about moving in January. If he doesn't get time he will probs go to another European club then.

There'd be another German team that would take him, or plenty of decent teams in other leagues.

Unless Popa really, really sold him on the injury thing - we've got the best medical staff etc and could set you up physically for a proper attack on Europe in the back end of your career - not sure why he'd come back.

EDIT: also looking at FCB's post, it'd have to be a loaner!

If you divide the season into thirds (9 games each) and look at what proportion of our total points were picked up in each third it shows that in two of our four seasons as a club we picked up the largest proportion in the first third (season 2 and last season). In both of those seasons we picked up the lowest proportion of points in the last third of the season.

Seasons 1 and 3 were the opposite, with the lowest proportion of points gained in the first third and the most in the last third. This is to be expected as season 1 was the first 9 games of the clubs existence and we went on the ridiculous record win streak in the last third. In season 3 it was a combination of having the ACL final in Riyadh and CWC in Morocco early in the season and the fact that only earning 10 out of 27 points in the last third of the season was still an improvement on the 8 out of a possible 54 we picked up prior.

The stats don't seem to back up the theory that we always have a strong start and come good at the end of the season.

So the stats show that half the time we start well and the other half we finish well , I'll be damned I just assumed we always started badly because someone said so on the Internet .

No NTS, he is goneski, overseas bound.

Played his last for WSW.

Mack will have to open the squad development thread again!

Aspro and Cornthwaite for me, agree with above Hamill can be the cover.

They came down the left.

Lustica is not a winger but is a reasonable ball playing midfielder.

Put Dimas on the LDM and that channel will close.

I miss Alberto and Jamo half of last years backline.

I miss Andreu as well.

Plus Bridge and Vidosic

Bridge had a strong season last year. He's really missed, especially his 100% attitude.  So it was almost #PioHatTrick last week then (well he scored one!)

Hope we get a fee for NTS. And... this is the big and... every dollar of it is reinvested come the next window....
