This game was a write off once Borda was sent off. It doesn't tell us anything really. City were always happy with 1-0.

It tells plenty. We are simply well below where we need to be this season.

Each week we hope for something new. We hope for that change to take place and each week we think it will happen this week.

The sad news is that we simply are not good enough. My wife just said, its like watching the slow death. It is exactly how I feel about this team.

It doesn't tell us anything because City didn't throw their best at us, so we still don't know if there has been an improvement. At least we know our new keeper is pretty decent. That's about all we know. Still probably won't be enough next week though.

Mitch looks depressed.

Shame its us fans and our important players that pay the price for a coach's signings and stubborn tactics.

I like popa. But hes proved that when he gets it wrong, he rides it out for the season. Its unfair on the fans.

Just tell us its over so we can accept it rather then promises that youl just "converting" ...

Janjetovic - quality

Clisby - meh

Hammill - meh

Aspro - so solid. MOTM.

Borda - retard

Cornflakes - solid but makes me nervous with those slide tackles

Pinatares - rubbish but showed fight

Baccus senior - mostly invisible until little bro came on

Sotirio - didn't provide heaps but the occasional chance created

Jumpei - rubbish as usual

Nico - quality. Please stay.

Nichols - endless running tonight. Huge effort

Scott - didn't get much time but... Meh.

Once again -

We dominate a game (well a half, anyway)

Ref calls us offside when we aren't

Ref doesn't call their offsides

Our player gets a questionable Red

And we are creating chances, but missing an experienced striker!!!

Deja vu, all over again.

On the red, arm near face plus it looked like extended arm which followed through.

Let's be honest, a ******* dive. Almost as bad as Brandan. Watch the replay, gets hit, moment to see if anyone is looking, nek minnit on the floor like he got hit by a cricket ball.

Great example to young kids watching on, if he hadn't fallen to the ground in a heap then nothing would have happened. Instead, best way is to go to ground, carry on like you've been hit to con the referee. Sad part of football.

I'm not quite agreeing with some of the comments here claiming poor refereeing and that we dominated part/s of that game. We deserved that result, and were lucky that Heart didn't try and put a boot on our throats when Borda left the field.

Edit: I'm not suggesting some here think we would have won if not for the referee, rather I just think the calls were fair, including the blatant red card in full view of the referee (if you're going to foul, take a hint from the All Blacks and keep it discreet!).

A loss is always bad but considering a goal which was unstoppable, playing for an hour with 1 man less in 30C+ heat away from home.

Should give them a bit of hunger for next week.

God, i hope so. I feel simultaneously sorry for the lads cause most are busting a gut out there, and furious with the silly mistakes costing us 3 points, game after game.

didn't realise how bad a-league refereeing has become until tonight.

fornaroli literally dives into borda's elbow while Borda has his eyes on the play down the other side of the field. However Borda has to go, he is rubbish at defending and concedes too many red cards.

Borda's fault, can't afford to put your arm/below/hand near someone's face this season. Just look at Santa last week.

So Fornaroli put his face into Borda's elbow. That's one way of explaining it  :ninja:  :ninja:
