Expecting Clisby and Dimas to be rested (given the number of yellow cards they are both on). Whilst 3 points this week is absolutely crucial, even I concede the derby is more important!!

Would love to see Shannon take Clisby's spot. He can play at Left back and have Sotirio play in front of him to offer a bit more protection against Ferreira and Trent Buhagiar (the fast guy). But I have a feeling it might be Hamill.

Something like........

Vedran

Neville - Aspro - Cornflakes - Cole/Hamill

Baccus - Pinatares

Martinez - Antonis - Sotirio

Santalab

Bench - Tyson, Griffiths, Nicholls, Jumpei, Hamill/Cole.

It's going to be hot.

Bring plenty of bottles of water, peeps!

Damn it, I've been complaining about not having an afternoon home game all season. And when we finally get one, the cursed Wanderers Weather gods strike again!

When will this curse finally be lifted?!?

'Let it heatwave, let it cyclone we will sing forever more' :woah:

Do they let you get bottles of water in @ Spotless?

I've never had a problem bringing water bottles into Spotless.

And if the temps still above 30° at kick off I can't see them stopping anyone with water.

In + a 1 year old. :woah::woah: .

Its been a while since I've been to a game, I'm excited. :woah::woah: :woah:

Sotirio hat trick.

Good luck with the 1 y.o. I hope they enjoy it. :)

Don't make my mistake of waking them at the ground. Lots of years shed that day.

I've brought water to every game (Spotless and ANZ) and have never had a problem.

Shirley we will see Shannon at long last.

Who's Shirley?  :)

That proposed left side gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. Cole cannot play left back and Sotirio.... cannot play.

It's going to be 40*.

Playing any of Nico / Nicholls / Jumpei / Antonis at LW in front of either Cole or Hamill (assuming Clisby is rested) and asking them to run up and down the wing for 90 mins chasing Ferreira and Buhagiar means you may as well put a line through them for the derby.

Plus - Jumpei (the only real winger) won't give any cover at all to the left back filling in. Sotirio will.

Look at how pathetic the Nix and Adelaide were the weekend just gone, after playing in the heat last Sunday at Hindmarsh.

If Mitch is carrying a niggle like it's being reported, I don't really want him running around in the heat with the Smurfs just around the corner.

Fair point. Although I would rather see you pull your boots on than Sotirio or Jumpei.

Going by the police presence for the Rd 4 game, the WSW vs Mariners clash is considered a high risk game. That there might be less Mariners supporters at Olympic Park than WSW supporters in New Plymouth last Saturday is besides the point.

Should be an interesting day for security and police, all rugged up, wearing dark overalls and heavy boots in 40 degrees, watching football hooligans in shorts and tshirts drinking cold beers.

By the time the riots break out half the force will be treated for dehydration and heat stroke.

You sure?

My playing days are gone. I'm a referee these days.

Hopefully Antonis pulled up fine after abit of cramp last week.

Should see Bruno in for Dimas. Antonis persisted witg at amc and Sotirio ahead of Jumpei.

If Nicholls is fit he can come from the bench for Antonis.

As much as i want the derby win, this is much more important in the grand scheme of this season. Its a myst must must win.

FFA have moved the Jets v Victory game due to forecast heat. Was Sat afternoon, now Monday night.

I was looking forward to our game being 5pm, but not in 40+ temps. Hope they make it a 7pm kickoff.

I suspect ours will only move if Foxtel approve. Given the glory game is a 7:50pm AEDT kickoff its not going to happen.

Southerly change is due Sunday but that is hard to nail down, but not all of Sunday will be stinking hot.
