Does this mean we are looking at a crowd of about 30 000?

depends on how many members show up.

Flume concert at Qudos Bank Arena tomorrow night with our game

Yeh. I was being conservative and taking into account about 10-11000 of our members turning up with that guesstimate.

Could we really have sold that many tickets to casuals?

Missing my work's Christmas Party for this... :ninja:

Hope WSW make it worth it, haha.

Your work Christmas party is outside business hours?

:nono:

Arent all?? Ours is taking over a whole pier in the city..

I work in Government. Most of the time they are in business hours (e.g. 1-5), but you have to pay your own way. If you're lucky, food cost is subsidized (but never fully covered) by the Department social club, but you will always have to pay for your own drinks.

There is a train of thought that the POX includes ANZ members. So to get an approximate attendance subtract from POX the number of ANZ members that won't show and then add the number of ours that will.

But wouldn't the pax only include stadium members that have requested tickets?

It's not going to look great whether we have 20 or 30k people in a 80k stadium.

Of course not. But 20-25-30 000 is better than we would get at Pirtek.

Hopefully, this 3 seasons away will build a supporter base who will want be full members when we get back to the new stadium, thus enlarging our membership and providing a boost in income stream for the club.

I'm always a glass half full kinda guy.

You coming to Concord mate?

Can our game get more than 14668 which was the attendance at ANZ for the Smurfs and Vi$ion City?

We can't really say that we are doing better or even worse than Sydney FC when it comes to crowds. To be fair our crowds have been pretty sh*t but I can understand why, ANZ and Spotless are not home and they never will be long term. One of the reasons why WSW have been successful so far in the A-league, because we decided to take our games to Parramatta.

Having said that our match against Vi$ion FC only got about 14,100 - 250 at Spotless stadium. Its a comparable fixture. Not much between the two clubs. Outside of the derby games we will have about the same average attendance as ESFC, perhaps we will edge them out this year. I am pretty sure we will.

The PAX is just above 19000, add 15000 members and should double their attendance.

I reckon the numbers at Spotless are actually inaccurate. Against Vi$ion City, I think the attendance was closer to 15,500 to 16,000.

All our Spotless numbers seem lower than what they look visually.

We won't know anything till we're back at Spotless next year. ANZ for the next 2 Home games.

I was at that match also, I thought the figure was about right. It didn't look like 15,500 - 16000.

Sit up top.  I do right at the back and you can clearly see the stadium has been around half empty every game.

Still thinking the PAX for the game tonight includes members as it did for the Derby.  So probably if we can beat ESFC numbers last night, we'll be doing well.  Will be terrible though given ESFC had no upper tiers open bar a few in the centre on level 4 so compacted the numbers in the lower bowl.  Hello memberships team.  Thinking of going and just moving downstairs if possible.  Otherwise will stay home and watch on TV as I'll actually be able to see the game that way.

Big big game this. Not only because it's Victory, or because they can go far out ahead of us with a game in hand, but Perth should win too, and Brisbane. We need this to keep in touch.

PAX didn't include WSW members for the derby, don't forget. Wouldn't mind an update here.

Good luck tonight, see you on the other side.

You're right.  I'd love to know how 19,000 have bought tickets.  I reckon they've started the PAX above membership base.  I can't see how we've sold that many to "day trippers".  Still predicting we'll be about 15-16k but will be pleasantly surprised if I see it much fuller from my armchair.

Thanks Dukes & happy to see the procession to tonight's game begins at Parra & outside the Olympic precinct. You can talk / tweak crowd figures to whatever & still the bottom line remains a two thirds empty stadium and an Active end closer to Lakemba than Redmayne. Can't wait for Glory playing at the Perth end. I'll be content with a come from behind draw but think a Popa suprise will see us take home three points.

Well as non ticked members we had to buy a few...first home game in a while so i am at least really looking forward to tonight, even if it is at shitty ANZ.

Go onnnnnnn, get out of your armchair and get along to the game ☺

just for personal and future reference: does anyone know any good places near parramatta or lidcombe (or even olympic park) at which i can get a good, cheap feed and a nice, cold beer

I'm going overseas next week so I'm looking to make a day out of tonight's game (and leaving it very late to head off)

Dooley's isn't bad. We usually hit that for games at ANZ or Soulless.
