So we can speculate on team selection

swap Roly for Herd, Risdon to RB, Llorente to LB, Cejudo to the bench for Grozos, Clisby to the bench for Majok. Rest is all the same.

At least the weather forecast isn't too bad.

Not sure what to expect to be honest, but I'll be there all the same.

Me too.

The defence will have to defend against quick wingers in Kitty and Miluensnic.

Calling it now. 5-0 win to the Wanderers to leapfrog Adelaide. 🤔

Wish I could share your optimism. lol

I don't think we are a 5 goal better side than Adelaide at the present.

2-1 WSW

Your optimism is welcome but unrealistic. Against the Nix that score is possible.

If you look at the opposition, they have a strong defence with Margush a capable keeper, Marrone, Elsey and Gulum (thug CB)

MF Isaias, Adlung (if fit), Konstandopolous

FW Miluesnic, Kitto and Diawara

Close game expected.

At least we won't have Kris Griffiths-Jones as the ref. He will giving the Smurfs their usual eady ride tonight.

Really intriguing game this one.

This could be a watershed moment for us, a genuine our season starts here i think. If we do well its on wards and upwards and Gombau will be hailed a genius for actually playing to suit the players he has when not in a situation where he is forced to like last week. The reds are a well coached side maybe lacking a genuine striker.

As a key board manager i'd start the same 11 but I cant see us starting with 2 up front again - surely its against Gombaus philosophy..

Anyway i d take a draw right now, with 8 thousand turning up but it being called a 10 thousand crowd a la rugby league.

Maybe a draw here and the points against the nux and we'd be on 10 from 12 for the new year, not too shabby if that transpires

Can't see Llorente on the right and Clisby starting if Risdon is fit.

Calling for Cornthwaite to get a tactical yellow so to be suspended against the Nix.  Need Santa (on 4 yellows) to play against the Nix who were his bunnies last season.

Hoping to see Cejudo to get on the bench. I can imagine Cejudo and Isaias getting heated.

Is Herd out on yellow count? In which case Roly would come back (but we lose on that equation with the way Roly has been playing).

We often complain we play other teams into form but city and the roar might have done that for us... after the East Sydney game it started a run sides from 2nd to 6th At he the time if we win wed it will be 4 out of 5

no one would have called that a month ago

Adelaide is the perfect game for us now clearly the best side outside of the top 2 who touched was up

for me in many ways it’s the most important game of our season thus far

we can either show up Actually show there’s is life left in the season or offically say we can’t  compete against anyone good

win would be immense

Agreed. This is the first real test, after the hammering and the soul searching. A win here will boost confidence....a loss and we're back to square one.

Our crap goal difference is going to be our undoing come end of season. Unless we get a few massive wins to get back into the positive. A win on Wednesday could get us equal with Adelaide on points but worse GD, unless we win by 5 goals.

Heading to Bali airport 7pm local time and shall grab the opportunity to squeeze in this home game from a sports bar.

I was afraid that Gombau's "we will win" derby and the dishevelled Newcastle "performance" would signal the beginning of the end of the WSW as we know them.

Instead, Captain Cornflakes, Thwaite and the old stars Bridgey and Santa rallied the troops, and the Jets game may just have been the beginning of the end of Gombau's chaotic start at the club.

With so many players out and missing the remaining playing group can remain focussed, and Gombau has limited options to re-introduce confusion.

Big game, and I am hoping for a Bali triple win. It seems to help the team when I down Bintangs while watching the game from afar.

Can’t wait till Wednesday - need something to look forward to after heading back to work.

want to say a 2-1 win but will be a 1-1 draw. Expecting Adelaide’s goal to be an absolute worldie....

Don't they always train with the main squad?
