I was feeling so sleepy after drinking in the afternoon and my niece couldnt make the match tonight so that meant going by myself. I  was tempted to skip, but i rummage around for some motivation and got there right on kickoff feeling a bit merry and a bit positive. Ugh. Thank spagetti monster this season is over. Its been a death by 1000 cuts.

I know the referring can go for as well as against. Its an ebb and flow thing. But fmd we got some shite calls throughout this season and tonight was no different. Its the frickin inconsistency of the calls.

It always feels this way at the game. I have been known to get a bit shouty, but fmd the ref is shocking

I've nearly lost my voice yelling obscenities at him.

The day that KGJ retires will be a day of celebration and can't come soon enough.

Judging by his set of spare tires, he's ready to put the feet up

It feels like we have been put out of our misery.

Away in bleak city next week would have been curtains anyway.

Our Pep will get another chance. Rightly or wrongly he will be here next season.

Season has been a disaster and honestly I'm not unhappy to see the back of it.  So, nothing to add except a question for those far more knowledgeable about the rules than I:

In the first half I believe it was Carrusca had a clear run on goal and was pulled down from behind just outside the box with the defender not attempting to play at the ball and only the keeper in front.  I was under the impression that is a red card any day of the week, except perhaps KGJ day?

Ref has to believe it was an obvious goal scoring opportunity. The presence of other opposition players coming across to cover defence, the angle & distance from the goal are some of the things the ref might consider to decide if it was a red card or just a yellow.

what a ******* shambles.

we are going to come 7th in a 10 team comp which contains 2 retarded teams at the bottom. Not to mention that we had an aggregate score of 5-17 against our two biggest rivals.

heads should roll in this order....

- gumby

- gumby's moron assistant

- JT for presiding over this mess both on and off the field

- risdon

- cejudo

- roly

I can't even be bothered going through the rest of the team.

this has been a very damaging season in just about every area.

And we only had 12,122 fans at the game, while those smurfs had 15,567 fans on Friday night. What a ****ing disgrace.

I would imagine that Santa will not be signed for next year, it would be a very sad way for him to leave the club......hopefully they find him a position at the club.

Last I'd heard he hadnt been offered anything...but that was a couple of weeks ago

Glad I didn't watch this game live, I was too vested in the F1 race watching Dan Ricciardo do something that we can't and that's stealing a win.

Caught the 2nd half after the race and the first thing I see is Baby Bacchus lashing on that Adelaide player and getting a red card from the VAR. Seriously WTF is wring with him? You can obviously do that playing for Sydney FC but not for us or any other team. A lot was at stake today and that was just unnecessary to do.

I also saw that Riera missed the pelanty in the first half which we would have taken a 3-2 lead going in at half time.

And KGJ, seriously, how the **** is he reffing at the top level? He is by far the worst ref in the A-League.

Whats with the complete lack of defensive structure? It’s round 27?!

I seriously can’t wait for Gumbys “philosophy ball” to stun us all next season when he gets his Adelaide 2.0 squad together and full preseason leading us to the double right?

Will you be heading off for the Off Season...as your predecessor did, Mr Spenser?

Or sticking around to rub salt into our wounds for a bit longer?  :lol:

Yeah, probably Wendy. I'm gonna miss these threads. I really am here to help and I know everyone really appreciates my input.

I am pretty sure that Popa will come back to replace Gumby in the off season and he will surprise everyone by cleaning out the squad. I just hope he keeps Santa and Bridgey, even if it is just working in one of the stadium outlets selling pies and chips.
