That was exactly the last 10 minutes of the Mariners game I remember remarking on it to Manfred and Psyds at time

I was looking forward to this game but now I am afraid we are going to get smashed. Cornthwaite is a loss but losing the captain mid season must have drained what little moral was left in the dressing room. The quicker the season ends the better.

hey, its not like we lost our coach as well..  oh.. wait

I feel as a unit we are stumbling in the dark. We look drained of energy and now we have to try and play in and around Carusca, who very well maybe just what a need from a creative perspective but he has not worked with these players before and it's going to be another learning curve starting Friday. In a way Gomby has all the excuses in the world to simply write this season off.

Add this upheaval to our slow paced approach and the number of times we dwell on the ball and then invariably lose it (hello Roly, I'm looking at you) and I can see Victory breaking at pace numerous times in this game after happily letting us knock it around just inside their half waiting for the turnover.

I feel we keep turning up hoping this time it will be different but I've sadly almost forgotten when it last was !

Will we be playing berisha back into form again?

Well he hasn’t done much this season so expect him to score another ridiculous hat trick Friday.

Don’t see how we are going to contain George or Barbarousses.

Our record against Victory is just as embarrassing as our record against Eastern Sydney.

Draw or loss.

Pre season starts here.

Leroy George would be one of the better signings for any A league club this season.Very skillful.

I think we will lose 4-1 but will settle for a draw based on a ridiculous var decision.

Amusingly Cornthwaite is listed as 'Unavailable' but Ryall doesn't even get a mention in the Sydney Ins and Outs

Mr Gombau does love him some Sotirio.

Gombau does seem to get the best out of Sotirio. It's just that I'm not sure Sotirio's best is good enough.

If Gombau can get Sotirio to hold the ball for more than 3 touches he'll be a miracle worker.

Who cares? People who don't like football have been saying that for yonks about our game. Every sport has its tedious parts. The only difference is that football is the biggest game in the world.

We are gunner get bashed. Whatever friction exists in-house @ Victory ain't a thing on the best of our mediocrity. Love the club win or lose suits will come and go yada yada yada. we're gunner get bashed.

Now that Sotirio and Cejudo are available plus I forgot about Carrusca. Line-up may look like this.

.....................Vedran

Risdon..........Thwaite......... Tass or Clisby........Llorente

....................................Herd

..............Bonevacia..................Carrusca

Sotirio or Cejudo..........Riera..................Bridge

Bench: Suman (Gk), Santalab, Cejudo or Sotirio, Clisby or Tass, Baccus Snr or Lustica

I can't see Cejudo starting tbh. Has come back from a calf tear so would be wiser to ease him back in with a 25min cameo.

Especially when he got injured at ANZ.

Next week they go to Perth, followed by Gosford, ANZ, Spotless, Allianz

Slater tips Melb Vic today. Apparently, at the game tonight. We should treat him lime he's a member of the Cove.

Seeing as we have drawn 50% of our last 30 matches I think we all know how this will end up.
