Mate, get to the football league thread and discuss all things Sarfend...I have given your mob a mention in the crazy league 1 relegation flight...

Spoke to a lot of mates this week who were umming and ahhing about going and I don't blame them one bit.  Its all been the same as on here, IF I got it will only be for Bridge, well I am going and only for Bridge and if you decide to or not that is up to you and your families/mates.  One thing I would say is it says a lot about Bridge when he had a bad injury pre season and he worked his ass off to get back only to see the injury flare up again making him miss most of the season.  For those who have played and/or know rehab and all it entails imagine working your ass off to get back on the park when you know you are not playing semi finals so will be back for a few nothing games at best, and also putting in the work when you know you are going to retire anyway - I reckon that's a massive effort from a bloke who really cares about this Club.

From the moment Bridge came on in the last derby you should see the Smurfs worried out him. He created space for others

He deserves a decent turnout.

I think I’m still too pissed off after last weekends game.

Can’t see why I should bother turning up when that shower of shite clocked off last week

I was thinking the same thing after dragging 8 others with me to that rubbish last week but it's our last game for a few months, Bridge says goodbye to the club and we say goodbye to SOP. That's big enough incentive to go.

IF we ever get a semi against esfc then it should be at Parra....no ifs or buts......it's our home ground..

Agree. But final series is controlled by ffa/gallop... expect f### ups

And JT hasn't really got a good track record of getting anything out of that mob....

Re: future finals venues, when the A-league is independent from FFA it might be decided that clubs determine finals game locations, which would be a better outcome for all involved.

Yes, but knowing our club and some of the strange decisions it sometimes makes, they'd probably choose ANZ!!

Yeh, Riera not even in squad.

Players usually have an obligation to stay until at least the club dinner/awards night.

Is Kalac related to Zeljko?

Just Googled, it's his son.

Only very young but from all reports, he's a handy keeper.

I dare say that Babbel would be happy to never see a few again before any 2018/19 club 'awards' night

Pretty sure their contracts officially cover the whole financial year.
