Now I’m picturing the fat chief wigam (of after Perth game fame) cop with his little bottle of pepper spray trying to hold off an actual football riot

Just as long as that stays in your imagination. :xnod:

I couldn't care less about the result...I just hope everyone has a great time, immersed in a great atmosphere...with some entertaining football on the pitch.

What else matters?

This is a big chance to instill confidence it the team AND supporters. A positive result against Leeds will lead to more fun later as the crowds flock to see the new team at the new stadium.

He was very brave with the full riot squad to back him up

Of course this is true...and a win would be brilliant.

But I'll settle for a competitive performance, which is desperately to be hoped for. I'll be happy if we get something like it tbh.

And if the cops have nothing at all to do except wonder why they're there.

Speaking of drawing a crowd - sketches or it didn't happen!

ACTUALLY laddie, it would be great if you were to draw a sketch of today's crowd and post it on here for all of us to envy and appreciate.

I'm sure others will also want the same as me - sell it to me! I'll pay you, or a nominated charity if you prefer.

I had brekkie in Parra this morning (great cafe called BadManor Thyme - dumb name, amazing food) and sat next to a couple with very northern English accents. I don't think they're Parra locals. I was listening intently in case I caught any interesting info (I got nothin). They weren't wearing colours, but I am pretty sure they're here for the match

So excited! :woah:

Looking forward finally to being back home. Hope the crowd lifts the team even if it is a friendly. Hoping to see all the different flags that used to at the RBB end back, there were some real good ones back then. Anyway I’m pumped, starting at the Bavarian, might catch the March. COYW, we are home!!!!

Dear Forumites, I have a free ticket to tonight match that has been given to me via another friend.

I am happy to offer this ticket to a good home.

Its only one ticket, so whomever grabs it will be sitting by themselves but hey, you get to go to the game, so there's the bonus.

Its an e-ticket/ PDF ticket that you would need to print out. Sorry I can't help with that

PM me if you're interested

Head to the Crown or the Albion, there will be plenty of wanderers and probably a few forumites there as well

Can confirm that it hasn't been torn down but it has closed. It's behind construction fencing at the moment.

I believe it will remain as part of a 200 metre tall tower (hotel/residential) which will be built on the block to the side of the Bav, in Phillip st.

They've already demolished or part demolished the two buildings beside the Bav.

I'll try and find a pic.

Yep.. .…..The Bav stays.

Can confirm it unfortunately won’t be the bav once complete. We are the architects that have designed the building in that render.

on a side note . Was standing next to a Leeds supporter (both of us kitted up in gear ) at the lights in Pyrmont as I was walking to the train station . Got me so pumped about parra match days

see you all at the crown . COYW
