Still busy with 'casual' work, so I'm no chance of getting there. At least I got to see the derby at Lambert mid season.

Please provide updates & I shall read them later tonight.

My normal attendance will resume in a fortnight for the semi finals

Nope. No joke.

Unless they are looking for something else. We are in Emerton after all :ninja:

There are a few police officers here. I dunno, maybe 7 or so.

GOOOOAAAAALLL!!!!!

Ridiculous over the top police presence there today. No kidding, the police helicopter hovered over the park for at least half the match.

I'd say they were about 10-12 police officers and 2 vans in the actual ground.

The whole pre-registering thing was ridiculous. Plenty of people walked in without having their name checked and all I had to do to get in was flash my membership card. Didn't even check the details. Stupid system when it's not even being enforced. Anybody could have got in today.

The only issue was when a flare and a smokie were lit by the RBB in the last 10mins of the game. But security put it out quickly and normal activity was resumed.

In regards to the actual game, it was very entertaining. We played well and fought back for the draw. The sausage sandwich there was top shelf and I had a great afternoon gas-bagging with Dmixtaaa, Manfred and Walshie. Good times :)

Good battle today. We had a lot more of the battle, particular in the 2nd half, but ESFC were lethal on the counter. Our CB's couldn't deal with ESFC's centre forwards pace. Which made us really vulnerable when ESFC countered.

Tariq and Baccus were very good as per usual. Must say I was particularly impressed with young Fox, who has come along quite a bit this season. His set up for our 3rd was class, somehow getting around their LB and teeing up on a silver platter for the goal scorer

We scored a couple of nice goals, but my pick was in the first half where one of our players cut inside and hit a curling shot from the corner of the box into the far top corner. The goal was also notable for the goalkeepers hilarious courtesy dive, in which he got nowhere near the ball. Pretty sure the ball was also past him before he dived.

One final thing to note was ESFC's head coach. Has to be one of the angriest coaches I've ever seen . It was pretty entertaining tbh

It was a good game of football, some defensive mistakes allowed Sydney FC back in the game after we were up 2-1.

Sydney FC has some grubby defenders, we lacked width the whole game, mostly played straight through the middle but some of ours goals were class (especially the first goal, great placement).

The helicopters was extremely annoying and ruined the first 30 minutes, couldn't just relax in the sun and watch football. Security obviously expected flares since they had the sandbuckets ready to go; was also good to see some noise being made when it was 3-4, got the boys to push for an equaliser.
