From what I've heard:

- half time 0-1 ESFC

- Second half we were very strong, we managed to get bavk to 1-1

- Then give away a silly penalty 1-2

Unlucky to lose that one as we dominated the second half...indeed number 7 had a bag of tricks....quite impressed with 2 and 3 also.

No names??

Also who was playing, heard Fofanah and Lo were playing DCM?

Yes, Fofanah was dangerous in the second half especially, Lo is ridiculously quick but some of his passes have a bit too much weight on them I noticed.

Nice especially since I don't consider both to be playing the defensive role as there main/strongest positions.

Any senior players play?

Who were the youth players that missed out? Soitirio? Alessi?

7 Kuzi had a blinder down the left just could finish.

2 was Jake Aldeson and 3 was ShAne Dchuna. Both these backs are consistently good and didn't disappoint today.

ESFC apied plenty of pressure on the first.

Second half was all our besides the penalty. Wanderers definitely play to win just couldn't get there.

Shane is a solid defender, controls the back well and is calm and reliable. Jake is a solid defender and always makes good forward runs up the right.

Agree about Lo. Had a good game but just to long on his passing today, but he was valuable in the middle and was an option all day.

Really good to hear that SdC had a good game, impressed everyone this season. Did Paul Katsetis have a game? Heard he was signed to the youth team but not sure when he starts with us?

There was one or two new names. I can't remember them. I'd guess and say yes as the 10 maybe. Does that seem right?

No, Katsedis didn't play nor did Yianni or Kwabs.

Yianni has travelled to Wellington.

Kwabs is apparently having a few issues with the boss. Read into that what you will.

Alessi is an absolute gun. Yeah, he stuffed up for the penalty. But his all round game was very impressive. If we don't promote him, then another club will come knocking 100%

I believe he is a defender, but interesting that there are some new faces

Feel sorry for kwabs, didn't play NYL or travel with the team to Wellington. I think I can imagine why he is having issues!

Really hope Yianni plays, so many games he has travelled with the squad and just left on the bench. If he gets a game, do you think it will be in DCM or as CB, the role he seems to have taken up with the NYL side? Just hope he gets another chance in the first team again!

Which number are you referring too?

Whew, would have left us a little light at the back without NTS and Alessi missing.

We have 2 impressive defenders in the NTY squad.

Shayne D'Cunha (#3) who plays CB & is a regular in the Young Socceroos squad & Jake Adelson (#2) a RB who was in the Everton Youth set up, before returning home at the start of this season.

The others have their moments but are inconsistent.

Normally Yianni & Liam Youill (suspended) are our DM's & they were badly missed today.

Marty Lo & Fofannah played in those roles today & both are better suited playing at #10.

I thought Lo did well playing in the mid. Like I said before I thought he was always an option to play to. Seemed to keep himself free and in space most if the game and was able to keep possession through individual skill or quick passing. I thought he was the better of the two. Maybe safer rather than better.

Would liked to have seen Bacchus get a run in the 10 today.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for Jake and Shane.

Just another thought generally.....Sydney FC youth were well drilled and looked like a team aiming to win Youth League without any real prospects to get a regular spot in their first team. Wanderers were not as well drilled, took many risks but had a number of players who caught the eye individually.

Baccus now injured, that's why Kalmar was signed to the Aleague squad, not sure how bad the injury is at the moment, doubt we'll find out how bad it is but are you surprised with Popa in charge?

I'm not sure but shacols may have been referring to the younger Baccus as I was keen to see him as well.

Which number are you referring too?

The number 4 at the back. Played CB. Looked very composed. Quite tall

He did have a better game yesterday, but is inclined to make errors which lead to goals.

The penalty we conceeded was thru lazyiness & or, a lack of concentration & changed the outcome of the match.
