I thought the Ade deal froze because he wanted the transfer fee to compensate him for the loss in wages he would suffer at Spurs. Not sure how that all worked out.

Dembele is a good addition but he is no Modric. I watched highlights of his 7 minutes for Real Madrid in the cup, and just from that it looks like he belongs there, but time will tell.

Spurs (with all their Cro players) help me take the focus off Liverpool for the last few years. I enjoyed watching them and they will remain one of my favourite teams, along with the Arse (heaven forbid) because of their style of play.

Ade transfered fully now, not loaned. Spurs paying him 80k a week Man City paying him 95k a week just to not play for them lol.

Dembele has a class touch and will grow into the role with Spurs.

They're short a GK though imo if they really want to challenge this year (though i'm sure that'll be sorted by deadline)

Hugo Lloris in.

and also pinched Clint Dempsey after he was all but signed at Liverpool.

great transfer window. time to start getting results.

it would help if we knew how to clear a f*cking ball from inside our own penalty area :nono:

AVB has definitely done well transfer wise. Getting rid of VDV is questionable but hes got backup there now anyway.

Spurs to finish 4th for mine. Challenging Chelsea for 3rd spot.

It's very early days, but Spurs are not looking as good as last year. I don't want to jump on the bandwagon against Villas Boas, but he really looks out of his depth and he talks a hell of a lot. That said, he at least deserves the whole year to do his thing, whatever that is. I just hope that they continue to play the way they did last year. He certainly has a great squad to do it with.

Getting fourth is going to be tough for a quite a few teams. Should be interesting.

city / united / chelsea ------ daylight.

hope we can get 4th from Arsenal.

remember, we started last season Loss - Loss, before going on a huge run. give AVB some time

I agree, you need time. Must admit though, there is something about AVB that just does not appeal to me.

Good confidence booster for Spurs, but they need to keep the momentum going!

we were absolutely horrible against Norwich in our previous game.

Defoe is a good player, but he is still selfish (what u want in a striker i know), and can't play with his back to goal at all.

i'd play Adebeyor and use Defoe from the 60th minute onwards running against tired defences

Adebeyor is overrated and greedy IMO.

Sorry, you should ignore that comment, couldn't help myself :P

Back to Back wins in the league.

Good changes by AVB after we really struggled in the first half

Spuds looked good today, good character to come back from 1 down, like liverpool, it'll take time for AVB's style to bed in, then hopefully they'll take off!. They have to finish 3/4 otherwise Levy will look like a tool!.

head into the international break on the back of some really good form.

Lloris took the #1 jersey off Friedel yesterday for the first time. AVB has to be careful to keep all the players on side because Friedel is well liked in the dressing room.

good start to the campaign

Heard an amusing line on Football Weekly this morning; "AVB takes his spurs to Stamford Bridge and will hope to continue his trend of making Chelsea lose"

ahhhhhh f*ck.

sorry ATP - ended up watching the game at PJ Gallaghers as i was chasing some skirt, and the woolpack was a bit of a sausage fest.

Woolpack -> March -> Game -> March > PJ's is a trend i think might happen every home game.

let's hope i can avoid the $100 cab ride home every game :nono:

Suprised at how well the spurs are doing tbh, They did pick up a couple of good buys late in the transfer window.
