Great news of Beauchamp resigning, he has been out standing in the role of Skipper and a pillar in defence.

to the tune of "winter wonderland"

There's only one Michael Beauchamp,

one Michael Beauchamp

his nick-name is Meggs,

He'll break both your legs

walking in a Beauchamp Wonderland.

How underrated has beauchamp been this season. Almost flown under the radar with NTS's stunning form.

Absoloute WALL in defence.

CB pairing of the season with NTS.

Totally agree and add to that the fact he is Captain of the squad.

He is the type of person who does not seek the limelight and as such his deeds go unnoticed by many.

I'll admit I've been one of many who have been perhaps dazzled by the work of Polenz, Hersi, Ono, Poljak, Mooy, NTS etc etc and forgotten about the captain. He's just been there as solid as a bloody rock, doing what needs to be done quietly and efficiently, no BS, no histrionics. I remember he was to some extent hard done by when he went to the Bundesliga and thought he had become a bit of a lost cause...but Nurnberg's loss (via Denmark and Heart) is our gain.

Was standing at the fence next to his dad yesterday when he came to say thank you to his parents for coming up to watch the game. Had my 5 year old with me, michael's dad was rightly proud to say " that 's my son" to me. Very touching moment my wife nearly shed a tear.
