Davo
Oh I agree he never looked like scoring, just saying that Cole wasn't the reason for it. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
hawks2767
Cole was treated like **** by ESFC fans. Yeah he was average last night but he still pulled on our shirt and did his best. He needs to be supported, has been great for us. I only want to associate with people who post comments like this, this is the mark of a true fan. 102megan, Zelinsky, theguyyouwishyouwere and 9 others 12 Link to comment

spectacular291
Anyone who is putting **** on Cole has forgotten how good he was in the return leg against GE where he had Appiah in front of him not giving any help and having to mark Elkeson and pretty much closed him off and played his heart out! Every player has a bad game, when your two timed by tall blokes such as Duke & Simon - anyone would struggle. Been one of the shining players for me in recent months. luisenrique
Shannon gives all he's got every time and has given us some of our best moments...free-kick against esfc, acl goals... He's not the greatest player in the world but being a football fan is also about supporting players who you're proud to have represent your club, and he's one of them. ManfredSchaefer
For anyone who is or might be thinking of going to the 'Old Soccer, New football' film festival session at riverside tomorrow...Shannon's gonna be there for the A-League forum. Alexander and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment
Popular Post ManfredSchaefer
Okay, so a few of us reprobates (Daniel, WDWSF, Alexander) saw the great Shannon in action this arvo after the films at the Football Film Festival and the man was a fooking legend. He spoke at some length about the ACL campaign, what it meant to him and his team mates, and he showed all the pride and passion you would expect considering his achievements in that wanderful ride. His words and his emotions made it quite clear to us that the team as it was during that period was tight, a real band of brothers. His anecdote about Mateo's gee up in the tunnel at Riyadh at half time was both funny (he got MP's voice spot on lol) and rather moving. However what was really impressive was how passionate he was in voicing his support for the fans especially in the recent fascist bully boy police proposals. He talked about a rational approach to flares, about how he perceives the cops approach (which he wasn't 100% against because of his friendship with a PC who is also a Wanderers' member), and how the authorities (by whom we took it to be the club) needed to do right by us. If all those mongs, dribblers, shitstirrers and haters who have been bagging Shannon were there today and heard him get right behind us fans, they would hang their empty fooking skulls in shame. This man is a dead set legend...respect! 102megan, GunnerWanderer, jimmy123 and 15 others 18 Link to comment
dmixtaaa
Where is he? Has anyone heard of the whereabouts of this man? Is he still contracted to our club or is he on a deserted Qld Island somewhere sipping Long Island Teas with Jerome Polenz discussing the fine art of somersaults with a broken wrist? wendybr, Erdz and Prydzopolis 3 Link to comment
Edinburgh
Where is he? Has anyone heard of the whereabouts of this man? Is he still contracted to our club or is he on a deserted Qld Island somewhere sipping Long Island Teas with Jerome Polenz discussing the fine art of somersaults with a broken wrist? I spoke with him briefly before a home match a few weeks ago. At that time he was just back in full training and available for selection but acknowledged how hard it would be to displace anyone because the team was playing so well. btron3000
#nevilleout hahah jokes, but gee couldn't we use someone who can hit a deadball at least half decently. Bloody Dimas hasn't really been doing the business. Link to comment
mack
Cole hasn't ever really been a first choice player, so it doesn't shock me that while the team is winning that he'd not be getting the nod over Neville especially coming back from injury. Prydzopolis and dmixtaaa 2 Link to comment
