The only time I've seen anything anywhere near that here (like, not that close but y'know) was when we got awarded the Olympics. George st was almost at standstill, people jumping on trucks, cars etc. Twenty Fours hours later we were in The Rocks (pretty sure it was a Friday night) and George street was still blocked off down that end because people were dancing around singing. I was happy at the time and it was a great time in this city when everyone was happy and having fun, but in hindsight it's weird that we were so pumped because some corrupt politicians won a bribery contest.

I was at a massive street party in Buenos Aires just because River Plate won the league. Like that only ever happens every second ******* year and they still go crazy every time. Argentinian crowds rock.
