We had a stray cat - not more than a kitten really - wander into our staffroom today. Almost like now there are no kids around it's starting to stretch out, I wonder how long it's been hanging around.

Ours are ancient demountables I think it might have even been living under for quite a while, just got ballsy enough to come out with there being no kids. So, we made sure it wasn't locked inside, that[s all I know. Will keep you posted!

She (I think) just spent my lesson, in which I was zooming for most of the period, wandering about my room stalking birds on the other side of the windows.

How long until Wendy adopts another cat?

FYI it's good that you look after strays, the world needs more people willing to show kindness to other living creatures.

one of my dogs i am very proud of(well i am proud that i was able to help her) was scared of humans but especially males, she would flee from us and avoid us so much she obviously been abused by some piece of garbage male, got her to the point where she feels very comfortable with us, she hates flies so pretty much if she see's a fly she will run head first into you at full speed because everything becomes invisible apart from the fly :P lucky have not been hurt too bad yet but she really doesnt like flies :P

Exactly, which is Marron needs to adopt this one.

He is obviously the Chosen One for this little critter.

There was much consternation this arvo with the news that we'll be working from home for most of next week.

All of a sudden it's "what about the cat??"

FFS, the cat has been living on the streets for it's whole life, it's just sussed some roobs for the last couple of days  It will be fine.

Noooooo!! - sorry, but that's a terrible attitude, Marron!

What native wildlife will it "be fine"  by eating for the rest of its flea bitten life?

And how many offspring will he/she be responsible for producing to continue doing that?

Someone really should try to do something to desex and rehome the poor thing.

Surely, someone would.... from amongst a group of teachers????

Except, I don't think he's terribly prone to that.

I think he might be more of a hard ass when it comes to homeless kittens, than a soft and mushy type....yes.

But hopefully, one of his colleagues is a soft and mushy type.

Otherwise...

Its Katoomba, unfortunately they are more likely to scoop it out and wear it as slippers.

Haha. ;)

I had to go catch my train, but they were working on it. I think one of the cleaners was going to take it. But also apparently there's another cat who lives on site as well, and I suspect this is her kitten.

I'm allergic to cats, I would have considered taking it otherwise, although I couldn't have got it home today.

Slippers? Lah-deh-dah.

(I don't work at Katoomba, I work where they'd eat it for lunch).
