Mario Balotelli Thread

He deserves a thread of his own.

Real life Mario Kart! Milan have banned Balotelli from mini karting... so he takes his £200k Ferrari onto Italian circuit instead!

Crazy Mario Balotelli has taken his new £200,000 white Ferrari for a spin on a go kart track.

Balotelli, 22, is well known for his love of karting but is forbidden by his contract with AC Milan to drive the mini karts because of injury.

However to get his va va voom, bosses at the track allowed him to take the gleaming Ferrari 450 out for a few circuits of the high speed circuit.

Thrill seeker: Mario Balotelli remains the most unpredictable player in the world

The former Manchester City star turned up at the Pala K karting complex on the outskirts of Milan with a group of pals - with former girlfriend Fanny Neguesha nowhere in sight.

But then again he did buy the top of the range sports car to console himself after he split from her last week - despite claiming she 'was the one'.

He spent almost an hour at the club speeding through the curves and chicanes of the 600 metre track in his Ferrari as his pals cheered him on from the stands before they went for a bite to eat.

Balotelli, who had a go kart track built in the garden of his Cheshire home when he was at City, is a regular at the Pala K centre and would often turn up even while living in England.

Regular visitor: Italy striker Balotelli is familiar with Pala K owner Joe Ghiringhelli

Pala K owner Joe Ghiringhelli said: 'Mario loves coming here but he's not allowed to race the karts because of his AC Milan contract - they are worried he may injure himself.

'I must say though that we have never had any accidents here so I'm going to write to AC Milan and tell them they have no need to worry about the players using the karts.

'Mario is a regular visitor here and would come over even when he was playing in England - he loves the karts and driving although he said he could never get used to driving in England because over there they drive on the other side of the road.

Extravagant: Balotelli's Ferrari 450 cost him £200,000

Talented: The striker has impressed since his January transfer to Milan

'We let him take his new Ferrari out on the track and he was roaring around laughing and having fun. Fanny was no where to be seen but as we all know Mario is a bit of a shooter and won't be too worried about her, he will be with someone new before you know it.'

His visit to the track came ahead of AC Milan's 4-0 win over Pescara with Balotelli bagging a brace taking his tally to 11 goals in as many games - City boss Roberto Mancini must be wondering why he couldn't produce that form in the Premier League.

On a serious note...

AC Milan's Serie A game on Sunday night was temporarily suspended because of racist abuse directed towards Mario Balotelli and other black players by Roma fans.

Referee Gianluca Rocchi halted the game and the stadium announcer told Roma supporters they must desist with their monkey chants against black Milan players, or the game would be postponed.

Earlier Sulley Muntari was sent off for restraining the referee when it seemed like he was going to issue Balotelli a second yellow card.

Roma captain Francesco Totti and his Milan counterpart Massimo Ambrosini were among the senior players who had complained to Rocchi before he suspended play.

Totti was later sent off for an elbow on Milan defender Phillipe Mexes, as the game petered out to a 0-0 draw.

In January a friendly between Milan and Pro Patria was suspended because of racist chants aimed at Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The Italian Football Federation introduced new rules to help referees tackle racist behaviour in the wake of Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng's decision to walk off the pitch in a January friendly against Pro Patria in the face of abuse.

Dismissed: Sulley Muntari was sent off for restraining the referee

Referees are now able to call matches to a halt for an announcement to be made demanding an end to chants.

Should any such announcements fail to have an effect on offenders, match and stadium officials are ultimately authorised to abandon the game.

The Rossoneri must now wait until the final day of the campaign to match or better fourth-placed Fiorentina's result, while Roma's only hope of a foray into Europe rests on success in the Coppa Italia final, where they face Lazio.

Mario Balotelli has posted a photo of himself posing with what appeared to be a gun on Instagram.

The Italian striker can be seen pointing the gun at the camera in the photo, which was accompanied with the message 'big kiss to all the haters'.

The 23-year-old later deleted the post. The move has angered Balotelli's employers AC Milan but vice president Adriano Galliani admits the club are powerless to stop players using social networks.

The “bib†saga.

The Italian’s car has been impounded 27 times. Seems absurd yet plausible in equal measures.

Speaking of car troubles, he reportedly had a £120,000 Audi imported only to write it off within a week.

Speaking of even more car troubles, he has coughed up more than £10,000 in parking fines.

In one of his flash cars, he drove into a women’s prison because he wanted to “look aroundâ€.

£300,000 fine for throwing darts at the youth team.

Won £25,000 in a casino and promptly gave £1,000 to a tramp outside the casino.

Threw tomatoes at a Serie A manager.

Sent to the shops by his mother to buy essentials for the house, came back with a giant trampoline, a Vespa and a Scalectrix.

Has been involved in fights at training with Kompany, Boateng, Tevez and Richards.

Went on TV wearing an AC Milan shirt with his name on the back while playing for Inter.

After the cup final on live TV, he says: †I have been sh*t this season, am I allowed say sh*t on TV?

Was stopped by police going around his hometown of Hulme with £25,000 cash in the passenger seat. When asked why, he replied: “Because I’m richâ€.

Adopted a stray cat that kept on turing up at the Manchester City training ground.

Had to be physically hauled away by Javier Zanetti for refusing to let Samuel Eto’o take a penalty that he had earned.

Brought his iPad on to the bench for Italy’s international against the Faroe Islands because he wanted to play games on it.

Had his friend approach girls in a nightclub and say: “Balotelli will see you now.â€

Became the face of a firework safety campaign a few days after setting his house on fire from letting off fireworks indoors.

Handed out £50 notes to strangers when out shopping in Manchester.

Italy had just brought out a brand new home kit, at the start of the second half for their first match wearing the new kit, Balotelli came out in the old kit, claiming he didn’t like the new one. As you do.

1.As a 19-year-old at Inter Milan, Balotelli appeared on Italian comedy show Striscia la noticia and was presented with the shirt of the club’s bitter city rivals AC Milan. The Rossoneri top featured his name and number and he was later caught by a secret Striscia camera wearing the shirt, much to the consternation of Inter and its fans. The player's agent, Mino Raiola, later claimed the show should be taken as a "joke" and that he is a "boy of 19 who may not understand the consequences of what he does". Balotelli is a childhood Milan fan and got his dream move in 2013.

2. August 2010 – The Accident

Just days after joining Manchester City from Inter Milan, Balotelli crashed his Audi R8 en route to the club's training ground. Balotelli was found to be carrying £5,000 in cash at the time of the accident and when asked by police why, he reportedly replied: "Because I am rich".

3. October 2010 – The Women’s Prison

It was revealed in October 2010 that Balotelli and his 17-year-old brother Enock had driven into a women’s prison in their home town of Brescia. The reason? The gates happened to be open and they were curious to see what it looked like. After wandering around for a while, they were questioned for 30 minutes. The fact it was a prison for the fairer sex was apparently what intrigued them most...

4. March 2011 – The Dart

Balotelli was spoken to by club officials after throwing at least one dart in the direction of youth team players from a first floor window at the club’s training complex. Balotelli was quoted as telling several national newspapers that he threw the dart(s) because he was ‘bored’. Nobody was hurt, with City treating it as a ‘misguided prank'.

5. September 2011 – The Mafia

Balotelli reportedly told Italian prosecutors that he was standing "about 10 meters from a table which contained bags of drugs on it" when he visited an area of Naples renowned for its association with the Mafia. Balotelli said he was in the area of Scampia visiting friends and claimed he was unaware that some of the people he met had connections to the Camorra (a criminal organization in the region of Campania).

6. October 2011 – The Fireworks

Balotelli escaped unhurt after setting his bathroom on fire by letting off fireworks with friends. He told club officials he and four friends were letting off fireworks through an open window. Two fire crews using breathing apparatus put out the flames. The irony is that the following day Balotelli scored two goals as City beat neighbors Manchester United 6-1 in the derby, taking his top off in a celebration to reveal the words ‘WHY ALWAYS ME’ on a T-shirt underneath.

7. January 2012 – The School

The Italy striker surprised students when he parked his Bentley outside a Manchester school and asked to use the toilet. He used the facilities before talking to students in the canteen and walking into the teachers' staff room at Xaverian College. A college spokesman told the Manchester Evening News : "Xaverian was delighted to receive a surprise visit from Mario who chatted to some of the students".
