Unofficial Likely Pots (according to the above link):
Pot 1: Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, Uruguay and Switzerland.

Pot 2: USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Japan, Iran, South Korea and Australia.

Pot 3: Chile, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, France

Pot 4: Netherlands, Italy, England, Portugal, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Russia.

 

My choice (like it matters) would be:

France will have their own special pot because they can't be drawn with more than 1 other UEFA team. So they will definitely be in a group with Brasil, Argentina, Colombia or Uruguay.

 

I can't see us getting out of the Group stage anyway, so my ideal group purely for the resonance value:

Whoever (Chile would be entertaining though, or maybe France)

England (or Netherlands for heritage reasons. Italy would be fun too though, or Greece, or Croatia)

I don't think we're going to be that bad. I like our young attacking players n throw in some older heads , I think we'll be ok. Lowest seeding, no expectations , teams thinking we're easy beats..... Bring it on!!!!!!!

Like others have said, it all depends on the pool you get.

 

If it's a tough one, we have no chance.

 

Also there are no easy beats in a WC, watch everyone just about play their best team against us.

it is fair to say that all the unseeded teams will be hoping to get switzerland in their group.

All the other seeds including uruguay and columbia will be tough to beat.

uruguay with cavani and suarez, and columbia with falcao, james, and jackson would destroy our backline.

 

Avoid chile and france in pot 3

get russia, bos-herz, or greece in the euro pot.

 

with that we have a chance of finishing in second spot and going through.

 

still going to be very tough, but it's possible.
