Anthem/Walk Out Song - 5/10 minutes prior to kickoff

Mods - Feel free not to approve, got a bit bored and thought I might integrate a few ideas from a few different threads together and hopefully get a bit more a consensus on how we can move forward. Then put it to the club when ready and then get this going:

Hey guys,

So I thought we could start snowballing something together, by proposing how to approach changing the current 5/10min pre-game routine with input from members on this site.

So I've broken it down to two components which are addressed by the polls:
- How to approach the 5/10mins prior to kickoff
- Do we want an anthem/walkout song?
- Which options do you like?

This is how I think it will work:
1. Compile a list of walkout/anthems which we could use and find out wether people are happy with what we have go or want it to change
2. After a couple of months of contributions and a solid list of ideas we put it to a vote
3. Get the list down from 10 to 3-4 best options
4. Ask the club to either decide for us or get them to send out a text to members (similar to how we chose player of the year last year)
5. This way 16,000 members get to chose walkout song

Only thing is that I will keep the first 2-11 posts to put down examples of the song tittle, lyrics and then a youtube clip/s of it being sung/in a stadium

Happy to take suggestions as per tittle, spelling, change poll Q & A's, where it is located or anything to do with this idea really,

In my opinion, this is a great idea, and I'm all for getting the PA shut down BEFORE the teams walk out!!  It's ridiculous  that the RBB starts up, only to have competition from the stuff blaring over  the PA for a few minutes more.  I'm not sure if the RBB core guys have taken this issue up with the club lately...or whether from within the RBB there is an awareness that this still happens (within their ranks, they prob drown out the PA, but in the stands it's 50/50- annoyingly!.

 

The idea that the membership would decide the possible anthem by means of the proposal here is a fair way of tackling such a monumental task.

 

It's possibly worth trying to find out how the club might view this proposition, as well as what the chant crew would think of this (even though the Club would prob wish to have a say in this, rather than leave something of this nature exclusively to the RBB as is the case with the chants) ???

Yeah. Really despise the pre-match music-athon. **** music and PA utterly drowning out RBB. I understand its there for the kiddies, but one must note that this is football; we don't need some ten cent PA man telling us to get excited.

Not sure but doesn't seem like an easy chant to follow!! At least if they have a backing on the PA should be easy to sing along too!
