Uhmm, so where can you actually watch the Matilda's play since apparently Seven Network has the rights to broadcast the olympics?

I recall reading that the Australia v Canada match will kick off at 4am AEST on Thursday the 4th of August and will be broadcast on the 7mate channel.

New kit for the Australian Women's Football team from Adidas, looks like they took some inspiration from the Melbourne Victory kit.

The girls have 20-0.

Next game against Myanmar!

Matilda's Olympic schedule

group stage

4 August vs Canada. 4:00am

7 August Vs Germany 7.00am

10 August vs Zimbabwe 5:00am

Canada will be a tough game, but we should be able to beat them.

Germany I don't have high hopes since they've always had a very strong women's team but you can always hope.

Zimbabwe is easy win.

That Barbieri is retired from international duty I seem to remember.

Besides this is the Under 19 AFF Women's Championship

So no not the converted outfielder/goalkeeper

Really looking forward to this tournament. Probably the most pressure the Matildas have been under in terms of expectations. A medal of any sort would be fantastic and so well deserved.

Just learned that one of the girls from the u20 team that scored in our 4-0 win over Malaysia is someone who goes to my small old college in Canberra...awesome  :good:

Our W-league goalkeeper on the team sheet and looked from the AFF website that she plated in the game against Timor-Leste.
