this may seem like a stupid question but when is the jets game?

 

city rail and ticketmaster say Saturday, both the club websites say Friday

 

Pirtek stadium's website also says Saturday

Saturday 22 November 5 pm per club website and the fridge magnet!

At least the Roar have alerted their fans..

 

Our club is poor/very late in informing us of schedule changes.

Adelaide away on December 6 is definitely on....emailed the club for final confirmation yesterday before booking flights/tickets etc. should be a good final send off for the lads! Hopefully we get a few down there, will be my first trip to Adelaide as I couldn't make it the last 2 seasons.

The FFA are useless, they still haven't confirmed dates for the postponed match vs city and roar..

Where are those games being played?

 

It could be the venue being slow to respond  the changes, 

 

also the brisbane roar game rescheduling could be a problem because they have ACL starting next February as well

and with the Asian cup break, everyones schedules are congested as well,

Having a look at the Suncorp Stadium website

 

One Direction play there Wed 11th Feb

Foo Fighters play there Tues 24th Feb

Queensland Reds start playing there every alternating weekend to the Roar from 21st Feb.

Brisbane Broncos will probably start in about March as well.

 

Not much room to fit an extra game in there, a community round game to the Gold Coast sounds like a great idea for an away trip!

although the stadium on the Gold Coast is about 45 minutes away from the main Surfers Paradise CBD

As a result of Brisbane Roar FC’s home match against the Western Sydney Wanderers FC being moved, the round 11 match between the Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United will now be played on Friday 19 December at Hunter Stadium (kick-off 7:40pm AEDT).

I don't get this. So we get moved, why do other clubs move as well? Was our Roar game originally a Friday, and they needed a Friday night match?

That end of the season is going to be absolutely ****ed. I don't think any club in the world has such a ridiculous fixture list.

 

We overcame those obstacles to win the Champions League though...the motivation for the players should be that IF they manage to win despite all this it will easily be the most impressive A-League win so far.

New rules and exceptions definitely need to be made regarding squad sizes and out of cap signings because current squad sizes simply aren't good enough for a fixture list like the one we are going to have. Our March could quite literally be the busiest fixture list for any club in the world.

i'm wondering why the melbourne city home catch up game at least couldn't have been played in the first couple of mid-weeks in february, but it could be that due to yearly maintenance/re-seeding/re-laying of the pitch* and/or the western grandstand upgrades/new changerooms that as a guess it might mean that parramatta stadium is not available because we are not scheduled for a home game at parramatta between jan 6 and feb 28. not sure.

 

 

*one of the stadium upgrades announced in late september was a "Replacement of the turf surface" which included new drainage iirc, so i wonder if this is going ahead in jan/feb?:

I love Covic and his honest opinion...

I agree that FFA didn't expect us to win ACL. No other explanation for Wellington and Perth away after acl final.
