nmh94
Two home games in three days?! I only just realised this. They are taking the piss. Prydzopolis 1 Link to post
Lookers
I don't think they didn't care. I think Ante is on the money, they probably didnt even consider it a possibility. Very disappointing. - Putting the Melbourne Derby on the same night as the first leg they shot themselves in the foot re ratings and just general buzz around the fixture both in the lead up and following it. - Giving us Wellington followed by Perth following the second leg. Even if the second leg was at home, those two fixtures in consecutive rounds are outrageous. 102megan and Prydzopolis 2 Link to post

Surely you schedule for all possibilities, remote or otherwise? 102megan and Prydzopolis 2 Link to post

Exactly! I can't believe there is more outrage around people not receiving their membership packs (some stickers and a hat) than this absolute mess of a schedule. Prydzopolis and nmh94 2 Link to post

Might as well play both games back to back before muscle soreness sets in, make changes to the lineup as necessary at full time Prydzopolis 1 Link to post

Lookers
GA complained about playing on a Saturday night at home and then playing 3 days later at home again. That sure sounds like hard work! Imagine playing in the grand final and then playing in another country 48 hours later in the first leg of a knockout round. Oh wait... Prydzopolis 1 Link to post

The clubs, fans and broadcasters would not want that. The front-end loading of the season with big fixtures in the 'clean air' between the Australian football and rugby league and cricket seasons is working brilliantly. Since Season 7, when the league first kicked off in October, crowds have gone from an 8400 average in Season 6 to an average of 13,250 in Season 9. Television ratings (pay TV only) went from 44,000 to 84,000. Membership has gone from 51,000 to 96,000. Prydzopolis and Wanderboy 2 Link to post
