Pablo
Any idea how many actually going? I'm still keen but if there are only a handful, I'm not sure I can carry on the full RBB act for 90 minutes (I'm not as young as I used to be and I usually sit in the stands, while watching and enjoying the RBB. Did go to the Ulsan game and enjoyed the company of 21 others though.) there were 40+ definites a couple of weeks ago, so not sure about final numbers will know tomorrow when I drop off my completed visa application paperwork at travel agent and then post on here ' just been in contact with travel agent there's been a large drop off, once travel costs, visas, restrictions etc have been factored in so now 13 booked as confirmed however, I'm aware of others that are organising travel etc independently inc a couple of London based fans I'm in limbo, my info is in but its not my passport, they have my drivers license info as I receive my passport on Monday.. It's literally a glimmer of hope if they accept it hang in there wishing you well to complete the mission to get on an epic journey with our group (ps I lodged my visa app on Sat with the club's travel agent - flights, hotels, transfers etc all booked - a couple of us will arrive in Riyadh a day early) Link to comment

STAY SAFE AND TURN KSA RED AND BLACK! (Barca tattoos are permitted ! - lol) We've had some good advice from travel agent sourced by club management from Saudi Embassy. My football trip in Sep 2011 for Socceroos gave some insights into strict laws etc. Looking forward especially to us singing "Paranoia"! Link to comment

theguest7
Pablo I gotta tell you something buddy. We all like calling ourselves passionate and what not, but most of us are nothing compared to what you do in terms of dedication for the team. I've read your posts regarding your trips to China, Saudi Arabia for the Socceroos game and now the ACL. Good on you man. Money things aside, just the willingness to do so much travelling for a 2 hour game and a bit of shopping (I guess ) is something to be admired. Pablo
thanks "theguest7" for your kind words above I love football, and yes its been a life long passion since my earliest childhood memories - helped by late father who encouraged my involvement, as a player and then a supporter football is a passport to the world and a vehicle for experiencing different cultures and sharing experiences I enjoy the camaraderie of away trips, and the challenges of getting there and around! its a privilege to be able to make such journeys hope we can build the culture so a lot more of our supporters of WSW, other clubs and Socceroos travel across Asia and beyond viva futbol! Lookers
For the rest of us not traveling has there been a venue organized to watch the second leg? It's a 3:50am KO. Probably the only place you'd be able to catch it is the casino or your couch. Would be great if there was a venu organised. Watching us win the ACL as the sun rises over Western Sydney Pablo 1 Link to comment

Watching us win the ACL as the sun rises over Western Sydney "Cheers" sports bar on George St, City would be another good option esp if there is some liaison beforehand with manager (Tim) there they are one of the truly football fans friendly pubs that get the active fans culture, and don't mind chants etc they can cater for a couple of hundreds fans with numerous screens inc big one Edited October 22, 2014 by Pablo DamnedUnited, Lookers and spectacular291 3 Link to comment

I'll be taking a regular small flag (sans pole) with me as well. If you need a hand with taking anything I think I'll be travelling pretty light so should have some kilos in my luggage available. Just PM me with anything. I'm in Katoomba so can do a pickup. I don't fly out until Friday night (Sydney time). If not I'll see you in Riyadh. Link to comment
