Nikita Rukavytsya To Sign For Wanderers

Recommended Posts

So is this 100% confirmed Via the club Yet? Nothing in heir web page

If ruka is fit and firing he is a massive signing as someone mentioned earlier on as big as Spira

He should be hungry to perform given his career his gone sideways - well done to Popa and his staff of securing another talent who will make us better

Nikita Vadimovich Rukavytsya (Ukrainian: Микита Вадимович РукавицÑ, Mykyta Vadymovych Rukavytsya; born 22 June 1987) is a Ukrainian-Australian professional football (soccer) player currently playing for Western Sydney Wanderers[1] in the A-League.

Good enough for me. Wiki wouldn't lie.

massive signing.

with this, we now have a squad that should be able to get in the top 6

a forward line of:

casetlen---saba---rukavystya

------------juric

with poljak and la rocca behind that, and then thats quite a strong midfield and forward

Add to that Spira and NTS, and the hope that Adeleke is another "secret star" unearthed by Popa, and we should give a good account.

This augers well for the Wanderers and for potentially the Socceroos.

Rukavytsa is a rough diamond.

He s faster than a bullet.

He has good ball control.

He knows where the back of the net is.

All he needs is a "Master Yoda" (Popa) to guide him and to inspire him.

Signing for the Wanderers is the best decision.

Once Ruka is in his groove and is running rings around opposing defenders, Ange will notice.

Ange will cream himself because Ruka will fit into Ange's footballing philosophy - speed on the flanks.

Good for Rukavytsa ..... Good for the Wanderers ..... Good for the Socceroos.

The signing adds depth to our squad which we need. There's going to be a heap of midweek games this season, either HAL or ACL so more quality attacking options is a good thing.

We seemed to have run out of options on Friday, despite the defensive third being the main problem area.

All he has to do is beat a man  and whip in a cross and he'll be a fan fav haha

Friday night's kickoff to the season was like that movie 'never been kissed' where Drew Barrymore is a geek in high school and the football captain asks her to prom only to turn up on the night and egg her from the limo driving past, so let down by the after initial excitement about a new season kicking off but now we can be excited once again.

Still no confirmation.....

He is already listed on the football database, as a new player.

That's good enough for me. Queue the new thread about meeting him at the airport!!!

It says that we got him for free, but don't know if that's true.

So is D'Apuzzo.  That said I would have had him on Friday night.

watching the highlights he has become more proficient in front of goal than when he played for perth...

quick and direct and he can cross a ball as well...plus scored some of the head (ps: anyone seen kubi attempt to head a ball ?? )

with us and under popa a perfect place to resurrect your career...especially before the asian cup.

Saba just favourite my tweet about our front 4 of Ruka, Juric, Castelen and Saba being a scary proposition this season, not sure if he just likes that I put him in there or for the fact that Ruka has signed though.

:woah:

Juric, Ruka, Saba, Castelen...

Not like us over in the squad development thread. We make Chubba cry, daily.

IT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER SINCE THE SQUAD DEVELOPMENT THREAD ACTUALLY GAVE SOMETHING.

I know this is a different thread but this is exactly what we needed. When I thought he was gone yesterday I thought what could Popa do now.

Just another classy Aussie for next years ACL.

hopefully a long contract.

Has anyone heard of the length of the contract?

Bloody brilliant line up
^^^^^ I agree but how many times do you think we'll see this lineup

Never ......

Vitor is lazy compared to other players in the squad so you probably won't see it for a while

Still not showing on Transfermarkt and that's usually pretty quick to update.
