Nuh, I am just bringing up Nichols to clarify what we are talking about here. So, you are in support of Westie players for the West, sponsored and supported by WSW

Does Elrich fit into this?

Bulut still has it, Elrich can't keep up with the A League anymore.

If Tarek's brother Ahmed can get a run in the NPL (2) then Bulut has no excuse.

He won't go from nothing to the A League - it has to be via the State League/s.

Unfortunately or fortunately, as you see it, he needs FFA approval to play because of his drugs ban.

Great to be mentoring and working with these two star players.
Former Western Sydney Wanderers players Kerem Bulut & Alusine Fofanah.
They are ready for an A league return if someone gives them a chance. #best #bestinthebusiness#yourfutureiswithus #hardwork #everyday #sessions#aleague #league #history #givethemachance#skillfull #colourful #life #love #goodboys

Yeah meme pages will have a field day with that.

Basha is no idiot though, if he says Kerem is available then he's obviously not banned (for long as 4 years or so that people were saying).

I'm surprised that Basha's not touting Kubi Appiah's A League abilities as well

Kerem Bulut: Ex Western Sydney Wanderers player faces court

February 16, 2021 - 6:22PM

A former A-League star and ex-Young Socceroo has copped a sobering dressing down from a magistrate following his arrest this week.

A former Sydney A-League star has been lambasted by a magistrate following his arrest for alleged offensive behaviour while he was on bail.

Former Western Sydney Wanderers’ striker Kerem Bulut, 29, was taken into custody at Kogarah police station on Tuesday morning and charged with using offensive language in a public place.

The ex-Young Socceroo was also hit with a detention application as the new charge allegedly constituted a breach of bail for previous alleged offences.

A police prosecutor at Sutherland Local Court elected not to proceed with the detention application and the new charge will instead be mentioned at the same court next Tuesday.

However, Magistrate Joy Boulos hit the heavily tattooed former star with a stern warning for the new alleged offence over the audiovisual link.

“I don’t know who you think you are,” Ms Boulos told Bulut.

“You might think you’re really tough but there you are, in custody, because of your poor, appalling behaviour.”

Bulut was once the toast of Sydney’s west for his gutsy goalscoring, and played for a string of European clubs including Czech club Mlada Boleslav, Turkish club Akhispor, Greek club Iraklis and German club SV Wehen Wiesbaden.

He also won the Golden Boot after scoring seven goals in six games for Australia at the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship.

However, Bulut’s once-shining career is in limbo after he was hit with a staggering four-year ban by Turkish authorities for testing positive to cocaine during his stint with Turkish club Menemenspor in May 2018.

By comparison, late football legend Diego Maradona only served a 15-month ban for also testing positive to cocaine in 1991.

“It’s unacceptable, it’s offensive, it’s rude, and the public doesn’t have to put up with your behaviour,” Ms Boulos admonished Bulut.

“Turn up at court next week and go to anger management because you clearly need it.”

Bulut has been on bail for charges of common assault and larceny to the value of less than $2000 since October last year.

He will face Downing Centre Local Court for those matters on March 1.

In February 2019, Bulut told The Daily Telegraph of his wish for a reduced drug ban so he could revive his football career.

“I want to play in the A-League to prove my point to people here – prove that I have changed, that it’s not just words, that I have matured into a man, and now I know right from wrong,” Bulut said at the time.

“I know I have the talent there, and it hurts me to watch the Socceroos because I played with a lot of those boys – we’re short on strikers, and I still think I could be that man.”

Bulut returns to court on February 23.
