102megan
Is Aspro your favourite player? Know someone whose favourite player is Aspro, and you haven't got them a Christmas prezzie yet? Then be sure to check out http://wanderersauctions.com.au/ (help out some Wanderers family - http://www.wswanderersfc.com.au/article/berthaly-family-appeal/13qgcsr1oi3pu1iag74moxorud) - and make a bid on his signed, match worn boots! Taurus
Spoke with Aspro's father over the weekend. He's very exicted with the way the squad are progressing this year & I expect he'll be with WSW for at least another couple of years before heading OS. He was never going anywhere, despite the interest from Melbourne Heartless Prydzopolis, DinoPresinger and Alexander 3 Link to comment

Guest mickisnot
I mind that he got sent off, but it wasn't his foul that annoyed me. It was the fact that that airhead of a referee didn't call the same infringement against Santa just minutes earlier. **** me. EmMac, Prydzopolis, theguyyouwishyouwere and 3 others 6 Link to comment

It was the fact that that airhead of a referee didn't call the same infringement against Santa just minutes earlier. **** me. said exactly the same thing to those around us. he got a yellow straight after the Santa foul. it was a deserved yellow but the scenario shouldn't have occured as we should have been taking a pen instead. Its not right, but my thought was the ref was not keen on giving the pen as Santa was heading away from goal. So in that case it would have been seen as "soft" (read stupid from roly). Santa didn't help things by going down too easily once or twice earlier in the game too. Anyway. not Aspros best game but don't think much (if any) of the blame lays with him. Was let down badly by the DM's and fullbacks around him. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
Pup55
I'm a referee and I don't think the foul on Santa was a pen. That probably means it was a pen though Alexander and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment

toonarmy
Possible is right Gunner He had a good game, but too many talking like those fox commentators who call for a player to be in the national team after they have a month of good games He has come a long way this year, and looks like he's becoming the organiser at the back, but he still has deficiencies in his game if he's going to be spoken about as a potential Socceroo. Possible ? Yes. Thats all it is right now . Hopefully we've seen the last of Borda. Cornflakes coming on seemed to help Aspro wendybr and braad 2 Link to comment

Look back a few posts in this thread and you realise how new Aspro is. He needs to keep developing, but has the potential. First thing is that he needs to consolidate his position in our squad. smp
Aspro is proving to be very solid, but JFC he looks slow when he runs. I'd love to see some more speed in his legs. Link to comment

I too had him pinned as future Socceroo every early on in his Wanderers time. But now, seeing his pace, I think he'll be a squad Socceroo his whole career. I think that the coach will always be looking at faster CBs, but Aspro's calmness and steadiness will mean he will always be there or thereabouts. Link to comment

I don't see him as someone that's much slower than Spira and surely at his age he can work on some speed? He -looks- slower. You'd need to be standing there during drills holding a stopwatch to know if he actually is slower. I've played with blokes who look off the pace from the sideline, but when you're with them on the pitch you don't notice at all. Aspro looks off the pace from the sideline, but he is so unbelievably ******* calm and self-assured. It's amazing from someone so young. He will go far, regardless of perceived pace based on this alone. As for adding speed, sure he can work on it, but so can every other kid in the frame. I,m more than happy to be proved wrong on his speed, to be honest. I'd delight in having this post thrown back in my face in years to come, because I have so much time for the lad and I really want him to succeed. BrightSpark, Edinburgh and Hiriser 3 Link to comment
Neverbloom
he has made mistakes but has improved a lot, i could see him as a leader one day this might be going too far but how could he be a worse captain than Dimas? Edited January 7, 2017 by GoatyMcGoatFace Link to comment
