mltezr
Was great to see us go from 4 points down to 2 points up in a matter of weeks. Just need to continue this form yeah definetly. apparently now rooney and RVP are injured. but we dont know if serious or for how long. could even be a ploy to get them out of the england friendly. Davo
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if it was to get out of the friendlies. Rooney looked like he genuinely got injured in the Villa match but RVP played the 90mins and looked fine. I heard 'thigh strain' which sounds like a good excuse type of injury. I suppose the upside if they are injured is that United have a fairly easy run coming up. Our next big match is Man City on December 9. Between now and then there's Norwich, QPR, West Ham and Reading in the league and dead rubbers against Galatsaray and Cluj in the Champions League. Plus City will be coming off a midweek away game against Dortmund before they play us although that could potentially be for nothing considering how they're travelling in the group of death. mikey
I think that Rooney will still sit out this week against Norwich, and we will definately have Hernandez starting after Fergies comments last week. Just hope we dont let it slip. Link to comment

Davo
Just had a chance to watch the Reading match. That has to be one of the weirdest football matches I've ever seen. 7 goals in less than 35 minutes, a goal incorrectly disallowed when it crossed the line, one of the most blatant penalties I've ever seen (and the defender tried to argue with the referee), Federici trying to dribble around RVP, getting it wrong and RVP still missing the goal. Completely mental. The downside is it looks like Anderson will be out for a little while and Rafael won't be in Fergie's good books judging by his reaction when he came off. I also read that Vidic might get a run against Cluj midweek which would be awesome. Link to comment
mltezr
yeah was a wierd game. wasnt worried at all when we went behind, which is a different feeling. SAF has blasted the defence, and rightly so. ando is out for 'weeks', which sucks as he has been one of our better players. i hope cleverly gets a run now. got city in the league, so expecting a youth/fringe players side against Cluj. would be good for powell to get 90mins against cluj. Davo
Yeah it'll be interesting to see what kind of line up Mancini picks for the match against Dortmund. I guess it'll depend on how much the owner cares about the Europa League. Dortmund and Real Madrid will probably field pretty strong teams since they're both going for top spot and I'm sure Ajax will want to play in the Europa League so I can see Mancini playing a B team since past results suggest that even playing a full strength side doesn't guarantee them success. As for United v Cluj, Ferguson has already said that the back four should be Buttner, Vidic, Jones and Smalling so that means it'll be Evra, Ferdinand, Evans and Rafael against City. As for the rest of the squad I wouldn't be surprised if Powell, Macheda, Bebe maybe even Henriquez get a run. Link to comment
Davo
Interesting game against Cluj this morning. United were the better team for most of the match but couldn't score for once. I thought Buttner was really good and should maybe get more first team time. Sounds like Cleverly might be out for a bit with a calf injury although Ferguson has said that Kagawa will be back soon. Also we now know who United might get for the next round of the Champions League. Can't play Arsenal since they're from the same country and can't get Galatasaray since they were in the same group so that leaves Porto, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Valencia and Celtic. No really easy games there although avoiding Real Madrid would be nice. As for the derby on Sunday, City played a pretty strong team midweek so it'll be interesting to see how they pulled up. David Silva and Yaya Toure got rested and Aguero came off the bench so they'll have a few fresh legs. United will be interesting. I think the back line will be Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans and Evra, Cleverly will be out and I doubt Giggs will play two in a week so Carrick, Young, maybe Fletcher and possibly Scholes then RVP and Rooney up front. The other option is to play Rooney on the right like he did against Reading and play Hernandez or Welbeck up front with RVP. Link to comment
Jarosz213
I thought we played alrite against Cluj and were unlucky to concede a screamer which decided the game. As for the next round of the Champions league, im hoping that we dont draw Madrid but it will be good to see Cristiano Ronaldo back at Old Trafford. Teams like Valencia and Milan will be tough opponents. Celtic will also be a tricky game especially if we have to travel to celtic park. For the derby im a bit nervous, our defence is leaking to many goals, hopefully we can tighten up our defence. I wouldnt mind seeing Carrick playing along side Fletcher, i think that this game mite be to intense for Scholes to start as we need players that can press the City players, Ferguson could even think about putting jones into the midfield. We only have one wide player if valencia is not fit to play which is Young, like Davo said we have the option of playing Rooney on the right and play RvP and Hernandez/Welbeck upfront. Hopefully we can win this one and go six points clear of city. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED Link to comment

Jarosz213
YYYYYEEEESSS, Robin Van Persie He Scores When He Wants. A 3-2 win at the Etihad and scoring in the 92nd min to win the game and go 6 points clear is unbelievable. As for City there Club and fans are a joke, Rio got hit in the eye with a object and Tevez should have got a secong yellow for kicking out at Jones. What a day, Wanderers go into fourth with a win over Brisbane and then United beat City at the Etihad. Im Buzzing. Link to comment

Davo
Unlucky for City. They played better. Unlucky for City eh? Young's goal was onside, the replays showed that it was close but he was definitely onside. That would have made it 3-0 but instead City went down the other end of the pitch and scored. Then there was the foul on Evra in the box that should have been a penalty. Just because City had more possession doesn't have to mean they played better. Other than the first 15mins United were the better team in the first half. City looked a bit more convincing in the second half although their most dominant period came after the two incidents I mentioned above. Had the officials got those two calls right the game would have been done and dusted. As for the coin throwing scum in the crowd, it didn't help that security seemed to do bugger all when Rooney had coins raining down on him as he was taking a corner earlier in the match. And then there was the the fan that ran on the pitch to confront the referee, why? None of United's goals came from contentious decision and if anything, City seemed to get lucky with some of the big calls. All in all not a bad Sunday. Got to watch both my teams beat the reigning champions in the space of about 8 hours. Link to comment
Jarosz213
Unlucky for City. They played better. Another jealous Chelsea fan. I see why you like City, cause City and Chelsea are the same type of club, no history just splashing the cash and are still ****. Unlucky for City. They played better. Unlucky for City eh? If youngs goal counted it would have been 3-0 but wasnt counted and City scored straight away on the counter, at 3-0 City would not have put up a fight. Also Shitty fans are scum. They lose their first match at home in 2 years and look how they react, throwing objects at rio and rooney its a disgrace, i hope their club gets ****ed over for it. The last 24 hours have been awesome, seeing both Wanderers and United winning in the last couple of minutes was very exciting and seeing Australia qualify for East Asian Cup. Not to mention the announcement of Manchester United coming down under, so excited Link to comment

smarty
United showed how a real team handles shitty refereeing calls. Should have been 3-0 up, then went to 2-1. Should have been 3-1 with the blatant penalty, then went 2-2, and we still won Link to comment

Davo
Considering we played pretty poorly and had zero luck, an away draw isn't too bad a result. Hit the bar twice plus Swansea scored off a rebounded save that could have gone to one of the three United defenders who tracked back but went to the only Swansea player in the box. Also Williams should have been sent off for belting the ball into RVP's head after the whistle when he was on the ground. I don't get how the referee can give a yellow card, if he saw it and he deems it to be deliberate then it has to be red. Then there was the player who cleared the ball off the line with his arm. Yes he had it against his body but he leant into the ball with it, Kewell got sent off at the World Cup for less. Of course if all these things happened to Swansea, people would be screaming that the referees are in United's pocket but that's beside the point... In the end it was a disappointing result but came about from a poor performance rather than being outplayed, something which can be fixed. Link to comment
Zurg
He was clearing his line, wasn't intentional, RVP reacted like an idiot and got himself a yellow card. He was just frustrated like the rest of the team and decided to chuck a fit. Swansea should have been up 2-1 in the first half. Edited December 24, 2012 by Zurg Link to comment
