torcidaSI
Not to take the gloss of Andreu here - I just wanted to point out how important Dimas has been to the team. Going forward Dimas is producing 58.1% accuracy with long balls. Andreu is only at 41.6% Passing accuracy in the opponents half is close. Dimas at 77.3% whereas Andreu is at 76.4%. Both players are producing over 82% passing accuracy overall with over 33% of pass attempts going forwards. Chance creation is at 24 to 11 in favour of Dimas. Andreu is yet to register an assist whereas Dimas has 1. Defensively Andreu has been successful in 19/22 tackle attempts. Dimas 19/30. Good stats for both players here. Andreu unsurprisingly ahead due to a lower foul count and different marking assignments. In terms of duels, Dimas is 64/107, Andreu is 38/83. Again, not surprising as Andreu is pressing more negatively geared players. Dimas' numbers are very impressive here. Alexander, Prydzopolis and wendybr 3 Link to comment
West13
But they play very very different positions. Dimas is a clear 8, Andreu a clear 6. Both have been awesome. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
torcidaSI
But they play very very different positions. Dimas is a clear 8, Andreu a clear 6. Both have been awesome. Technically Dimas is the 6 and Andreu the 8 but both players have a hybrid role and have been fluid in the centre of the park - Andreu defensively and Dimas offensively. When your ball winner is producing those kinds of long range passing stats, and your deep lying playmaker is producing that kind of tackling percentage, what are the opposition going to do? We've got the most complete deep lying midfield duo the league has probably seen to date. Previous Wanderers in those positions have been much more rigid in similar roles. GunnerWanderer
Dimas work rate is up there with Nichols for mine he just has a wonderful engine. The DNA trio is clearly the best all round midfield combination in popa's reign Agree with above Dimas is more number 6 his mobility and passing game mean he can alter with his fellow Spaniard as required torcidaSI and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment
smp
Dimas was my pick for MOTM against the Reds. Safe as houses with the ball and a monster work rate off it. Our Spanish spine is top shelf in this League, and it's going to be sad to see the vultures swoop in the off-season. Prydzopolis and Carns 2 Link to comment
DinoPresinger
There's a guy behind me at games who yells incredibly loudly "Dimas Deellgado" every time he does something good. I swear 90% of the time this causes Dimas to stuff up Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
