Brosque was right when he said with our high turnover of players each season, we dont have the same passion as someone who's play 4-5 derby games.

At least we didn't get Gillett or Beath

the thing is no matter the ref we are unhappy because they are all terrible
would have preferred Shaun Evans or Stephen Lucas tbh

i agree with that, i can see a stupid decision affecting the result of the match it just feels like its going to be like that

No baby Baccus? This is an outrage.

Neville has made a miraculous recovery.

Also...these lists are never set in stone anyway

But baby Baccus is an all round versatile football machine.
i reckon Neville was saved from getting yellow cards for this match

Where's Arnie's mind games. We're going to his mansion after all.?

he's already said that Vukovic won't have to make a save!

fmd If that doesn't motivate the players and coach, then nothing ever will. The sad thing is that deep down inside Arnie actually believes in what he is saying and it is most likely already getting into Popa's head.

Sometimes all it takes is one chance, and the GK not being able to make a save. The Smurfs are experts in this. Rd 3 last season Redmayne only touched the ball when he had to retrieve it from the net in the 90th minute.

Would be nice to see them on the receiving end of it one day.

This could be the incentive we need to finally shoot *****

Interestingly we are #2 in shots behind City and equal top on % shots on target.  Problem is we are only above Brisbane in shot conversion rate.

He didn't have much to do against CCM and conceded twice ... Would have been three is they scored the pen.

Wanderers won't even draw a save: Arnold

Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold is so confident in his defence that he believes the Wanderers won't manage a shot on target in Saturday's A-League derby.

Ever the showman, Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold is talking up his side's chances of another derby delight in their A-League meeting with Western Sydney on Saturday night.

Arnold expects his unbeaten ladder leaders to deepen the Wanderers' winless run in the Sydney derby into a fourth year in their Allianz Stadium meeting.

But there's one player who he reckons won't be part of the action; goalkeeper Danny Vukovic.

"We've had many games this year where Danny Vukovic hasn't had to make a save and the same will happen on Saturday night," Arnold said on Thursday.

"We've conceded seven goals in 14 games.

"We've got a brick wall."

While beating his chest about Sydney's impregnable defence, the fact remains that he does have a hole that needs filling in his back four.

Matt Jurman's departure to South Korean club Suwon Bluewings and Seb Ryall's injury minutes into deputising means Arnold must fill the position.

Midfielder Brandon O'Neill got the job against the Mariners and Arnold said he would also consider Aaron Calver and youth internationals George Timotheou and Patrick Flottman for the role.

"I've still got 48 hours to think about it," he said on Thursday.

"I've got some fantastic under-20 kids ... who have been waiting for their chance for a long, long time and were part of a youth team that won six trophies last year.

"We've got plenty of options and I'm very happy."

Arnold reported Milos Ninkovic could be shunted back into midfield if O'Neill got the nod, with a potential structural shift on the cards.

For all the fuss about the central defender position, Arnold had another reminder for the Wanderers.

"We're down one player suspended, they're down two players suspended. They've got a couple of injuries, we've got one injury so we're in good shape," he said.

Josh Brillante is suspended for the Sky Blues, with Brendon Santalab and Artiz Borda rubbed out for Tony Popovic's side.

Ryall will miss "a few weeks" according to Arnold after his hamstring strain.

Indeed, with so much of the attention on Sydney's back line, Arnold was at pains to point out the match would probably depend on the other half of the field.

"Our players have a huge amount of belief in each other and the occasion," he said.

"When you've got the quality in the front half of the field that we have, I think that's the biggest reason the belief is what is like it is.

"We are very confident in our ability, very confident in what we're doing and we expect to win the game."

With the way we play, unfortunately he's not wrong either.

Savage

But a fair point.

I stand by what i wrote because face it who is our goal threat up front in this one??? They will have brosque, ninkovic, bobo, ibini, simon to call upon for goals. Our options don't quite match theirs for starters.....

That article should be highlighted and printed on the walls of the wanderer's dressing room for motivation.... What an awesome opportunity to stand up and silence the f-uck head. He carries on about this invincibiles rubbish... yeah right?? try and emulate arsenal in a 20 team league with a proper home and away fixture setup with additional league cups and champions league fixtures to play. The fact that the aleague is a 10 team round robin speaks for itself and because most of the competition is weaker this year, it doesnt offer much of a challenge to them and their expensive squad.

I honestly don’t get this whole thing we’re going to lose, maybe pull out a draw. F@k that.

As players do you honestly think they go in with this mentality????

As fans do you think we should show up to the stadium with this mentality???? I sure as f@k don’t. I go in with we’re going to win, no matter how dire the situation and how shitty I feel after a draw, especially a loss. I take it out on my punching bag and prepare for the next win.

Granted we haven’t been playing all that great; players need improvement, transfers, recruitment, soulless have been an influencing factor this season – all I have to say to this is LEAVE THIS S*!* AT HOME.

When you wake up Saturday morning your first thought has to be we’re going to win

Walk to the bus we’re going to win

Walk to the train we’re going to win

Walk to the pub we’re going to win

March to the stadium we’re going to win

Driving in the car…you guessed it…we’re going to win.

Each step you take, we’re…going…to…win, we’re…going…to…win, we’re…going…to…win, we’re…going…to…win,

WE’RE GOING TO WIN F@RKN.

End rant

That was a load of my chest, thanks for reading.

i agree with you to an extent however our players pretty much approach every derby that we are going to lose and we pretty much lose every time

If only the players showed as much hunger, desire and heart as the fans.

If popa can't fire them up after three years of miserable defeats, I'm sorry but questions have to be asked. The rot will start to set in.

Literally, ONE ******* win in the past 2 and a half seasons against the Smurfs and Vicrory combined. Appalling. And now the losses are turning into absolute belt downs. 4-0 3-0 3-0

If we continue getting pumped, I ******* swear I've been patient but the clean outs, getting smashed in big games and the team not showing up to these big games is pathetic.

That Arnie article...

Arnie is the world's greatest frontrunner. When his team is on top he's got all the answers, like he could solve problems beyond even Stephen Hawking.

It's when the **** hits the fan that he struggles.

It's a real pity that this year they may do the whole thing without any problems. I'd love to see him blabbing his incoherent, inconsistent bullshit if they hit a rough patch.
