mack
First photo looks like it's from the RBB end with the main grandstand to the right, and the pictured normal stand to the left. 2nd and 3rd photos from the new Cumberland Lounge I believe. Boro did that for members just before their new ground opened. It was the last thing I did with my grandad before he died of cancer...tour open day type thing for members way to go.. 33 minutes ago, sonar said: They should have an open day for anyone who wants to have a look at it completed. matty
We'll be lucky to get to check out our seats (ie access to the stands) before the season kicks off. No chance of a stadium tour. Smoggy and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment
MistahCampoy
I think Mack may need to send an email to the club speaking for all of the WSF members (which i would say most of us hold a membership) that we would like them to organize this and see if they listen? All we can do is ask.. Prydzopolis, sonar and alexd 3 Link to comment

I'm sure they will do an open day? I know season 2 or 3 they had a day at the old parramatta stadium in which you could get access to the stadium but unsure behind the scenes. I will email the club. sonar, MistahCampoy, Smoggy and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Davo
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have an open day at the stadium. I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 10:30 in the morning on a weekday. matty, Smoggy, SomeGuy1977 and 5 others 8 Link to comment
Hughesy
The club are on the edge of climax with the new stadium, of course they will have an open day. The way the team is going and ongoing frustrations of members and fans, it may serve as a peace offering haha sonar, Prydzopolis, Smoggy and 2 others 4 1 Link to comment

mack
4 hours ago, Prydzopolis said: A question regarding external panels What you see is what it'll be. There had been a proposal for an LED 'wall' to wrap around the street facing side and corners, but it was removed early in design for both cost reasons, and not wanting excessive lightspill onto the road and park area. There's been no addition of cloth or cladding to hide the underside of the seating as far as I know. The stadium lighting is across the top of each section of roof, many 'small' (compared to say, major floodlights at places like cricket grounds). It's basically the same setup as what the Arsenal Emirates stadium has. The other lights are small local lights to assist movement of people to & from the concourse & stairways into their seating. tardotz and Prydzopolis 2 Link to comment

WSWJACK
It will give the Park Royal competition for hosting sport teams, NRL, AFL, HAL and international teams, especially if playing at Bankwest or using it as training facility. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment

MistahCampoy
That sucks about the LED screen wrap around the front of the stadium, with technology these days i do not think it would have been a problem being so bright as they could control it quite easy. Maybe they could substitute the screen for some sort of lighting that wraps around?? Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
mack
Honestly I think that it wouldn't have made it to the final design because of cost even if there wasn't any issue with lightspill. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment

MistahCampoy
Yeah though it would have made the stadium that tad bit more classier (closer to a world class stadium), i think it would have been worth the investment as originally planned Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
MistahCampoy
You would think that they would have other options in place just in case the cost becomes to much for this important part of the build.. Like If there was an option for example to talk to local Audio/Visual suppliers to supply a LED screen wrap for the stadium in place for free advertisement in the stadium for a few seasons?? Prydzopolis
That’s for the information & discussion about the external lighting on the stadium. I find it a bit strange to leave it as is, perhaps the led wall is too expensive but find it odd that no cost effective solution could be found to finish it off. The whole light pollution rubbish, it would be on for games & that’s it. Not like it’s on 24 hours a day. MistahCampoy and sonar 2 Link to comment
