btron3000
Okay, word from the club is that the bus ain't happening sadly. bugger Shame that. Not too many seats sold in the away section last time I looked as well. Three grand final defeats, a relatively dismal season and recent Suncorp history might have all taken their toll. Also if we get through, there's potentially the non-trivial cost of a semi-final derby followed by a Melbourne or Perth grand final (with Melbourne most likely and practically doable for a good number of our fan base). However I think the bottom line is there's not a great deal of optimism going into this one.Not to mention that most of the ones going to Japan (including myself) will have to give it a miss. I think the Friday game has as much to do with it as anything. Hilliangull 1 Link to post
luisenrique
we've lost every game at brisbane iv'e been to. so i'm out. you're welcome. Same, but I'm still going. WestSyd2763, EmMac, SomeGuy1977 and 3 others 6 Link to post
Smoggy
I'm saving my money and points for the grand final, that's optimism! Yeah.... I am going to have to take a punt on a derby and GF in Melbourne and sit this one out... especially as the cops have hit me with a ******* fine that would have paid for a flight to Brisbane ffs... luisenrique
I can't do Sydney dery semi, I'm gonna need to be sedated. Yeah me too Haha as soon as I saw the post above I was gonna post this song. Love it. I distinctly remember being on a road trip to Byron one year and getting out at a servo with this blasting. Great riff. We should do a song based on this! I expect to hear it blasting as soon as I get in the car on Friday morn. Smoggy and JackDoff 2 Link to post
Flytox
I'm in Brisbane until Saturday but unfortunately I can't go to the game. This does not compute?!?! I have engagements that were pre-arranged and can't be altered. Edinburgh 1 Link to post

FCB
Vedran "I'm excited, nothing else. I'm blessed to be in a position like this now after the year I had. I'll take it one step at a time as well and enjoy the week. It's a good place to be. I think everyone has written us off already but we'll rewrite the history books." Clisby "At Spotless Stadium, we thoroughly dominated the game but we were struggling to score goals in that period of the season. The two performances away were actually good performances. We were unfortunate to lose one of those games in the end. Heading into this Friday, we're ready to take on Brisbane." Popa "We have to focus on our game, respect every one of their players and their football club, which we do. But we have a game plan and the players to execute it to win the match. We're ready, we're calm, we're composed. We don't feel anxious at all going into this. We know we're playing well. Critical moments change matches. We know we'll get our opportunities and it's up to us to take them." EmMac, wendybr, Gazmon and 1 other 4 Link to post

Edinburgh
I've been thinking for a few weeks now that there are only 2 teams with the ability/potential to beat ESFC in the finals series - WSW and the Roar. If we win look out Easts! If Roar win will they be good enough to get past the Victory to have a crack at Easts? EmMac and wendybr 2 Link to post

Victory have been woeful against ESFC this season, wouldn't put much chance in them getting the job done against ESFC. We can on rely only ourselves to sort them out. Paul01
We got Jarred Gillett as Central Referee with Strebre Delovski as VAR. Record this season 2 losses , 1 draw and 1 win and Popa fined! Link to post
ManfredSchaefer
As the club bus didn't happen anyone got plans for watching the game tomorrow night at a pub or club in the Riff or Parra? Suspect it might be too late and/or too hard what with the thugby league & aerial ping pong on... Link to post
