Popa & Co decide around Christmas who is staying and going. Baccus was probably on the 'going' list until after his punch-on and subsequent form spike. For all we know Popa has decided not to offer him a new deal. Or another club has put in offers.

There's always one or two players who sign a new contract right after the season ends. NTS, Spira, Jason T come to mind.

Martinez and Antonis are probably unrealistic, as good as it would be, but there's no excuse for not keeping Baccus.

I'd rather have Antonis. Martinez hasn't done enough to convince me he's worth buying and giving a big wage packet.

Yeah Antonis would be no.1 priority too, and really for him it makes no sense to take another punt somewhere in a World Cup year.

So the smurfs have re-signed Bobo and Ninkovic and we've re-signed Hamill and Tyson ... ?!

No-one but Santalab and Antonis reached anywhere near the level of Bobo or Ninkovic and we've already re-signed one, and the other is almost surely not going to stay.

According to Popa we have 18 players under contract for next season. I suspect that may include the likes of Baccus Jnr & Majok who have been signed to Youth Pro / U21 Developmental contracts & could also include Risdon, Bonevacia & Thwaite.

how likely is Roly? we heard he was coming here but since then i heard reports that he isnt, honestly i dont think he is reliable enough but it depends why we want him we have had far more unreliable

For those not convinced about Nico, Roly would probably be his replacement. Feeling reassured? He might give you the odd spectacular goal but from what I have seen he has the character and consistency of a wet lettuce. Flair-wise he's not in Nico's class. The thought of Jumpei on one wing and Roly on the other doesn't quite get the blood racing.
