He should have taken the money and run. What an idiot. Why would you stay? End of the season, choice between stay & don't play at all, or 3 months free money & get a new club. That injury happened nearly 3 years ago and they are still milking it for sympathy because he's a smurf. I can't help but think with their awful squad and the VAR that current 6500 average will slide down again. Wellington's first season they had a 11,683 crowd average (without any finals matches) and kept around that with finals matches in 2009/10. They've lost nearly half their average since then.
