What Floats Your Boat 4

Sure, sure...you've been able to get vege burgers, or egg burgers, for decades.

Labelled as vege burgers, or egg burgers.

THIS is different!

They are being advertised as tasting the same as meat (meh to me...there's no need for a burger to taste like meat, but many others would disagree).

PLUS...look where and when it is being advertised - on FOXSPORTS, during a football coverage!

And the non-meat burger IS the product they're  featuring, from memory.

It's a new thing...and it's  brilliant imo! :xnod:

I'm really intrigued by the whole plant based meat progress. I've seen many dedicated carnivores who are really reluctant about it (thinking it can never replace the real thing). Personally, if the quality, taste and texture is the same as the real thing, I'll have no problem eating it at all. It'll most likely be better for me, the environment and animal welfare. But I imagine it still has a fair way to go to replicate any and all types and cuts of meat. Bring it on, I say.

As someone cutting right back on meat i am interested. I think many are heading this way.

Aldi had some non meat sausages which I have tried....not bad but a tad over spiced. ( for me )

They do have non meat burgers as well.

Wigram Street, Harris Park, some awesome vegie curries down there. I bought a cauliflower for $2 a few weeks ago and made one myself and it was really good.

While we are on non meat type topics...

If you want to prove you dont need meat to have a great feed, and if you like Indian, try Chatkazz...at Harris Park or Norwest (Ive only been to the latter).

All vego...and amazing,  as posted once before in the past.

Not for those after a  diet conscious / low carb type meal...but incredibly varied dishes.

How good does a win feel in Mexico!

what an amazing night. Had a few man hugs with the team. :)

WFMB - the fact that men can now express their positive emotions more freely than once was the case.

It's lovely to see what Jowel referred to ....from the post game thread!

Supermarket today...wife asks me to go and get some cottage cheese (yuk vile stuff) and so off I go to the aisle. Get to the section and can only see specialist stuff like lactose intolerant versions and such like. So head back to the wife and tell her and she does that thing where I know she thinks 'he didn't look properly, I bet I will just walk up and find it'. So I get a grumpy 'wait here' with a cocky -> .

She comes back a few mins later with a tub of cream cheese instead :D No cottage cheese I asked......apparently I miss things on other occasions and so she 'had to check'....meh...I win that one.
