Fox Sports presenters occasional complaints about the FFA are controlled opposition. Every so often Bozza or Slater will rant and rave for 10 minutes but those rants don't result in any pressure being put on the FFA to make real permanent changes.

Fox don't participate in campaigns to remove the cancer that is the Lowy families influence on football.

Fox don't push for changes to cancel out the bias FFA always show towards helping Sydney FC (and as we know, with multiple ex-players & employees on their payroll the bias is just as pronounced at Fox).

Fox doesn't push to hold Lowy & Gallop accountable beyond the occasional softball "interview" with Daniel Garb.

Fox didn't stand with the supporters against the systemic attacks on active support by the FFA/Hatamoto/Police

Fox hasn't helped push for expansion, or for the FFA to do even a skerrick of work towards a second division.

Fox hasn't pushed against the obscene wages the FFA are paying themselves, or the ridiculously high wages our national team players are getting to fail at he Confeds and nearly get KO'd from the World Cup.

It's a charade.

2 weeks later and Fox Sports are ignoring the multiple protests, banners & supporters being attacked by security for them.

Gumby wants to show he is the boss. They don't have a good relationship as this isn't the first time.  Unfortunately these things never end well. One of them will be gone by next season

In 08/09 Klinsmann took charge at Bayern. After a couple of weeks senior players like Lahm and van Bommel had come to the conclusion that the new coach had NFI how to coach a football team, and that motivational talks didn't cut it at that level.

The players chose the of damage control, as they saw it, ignored Klinsmann's instructions in the process. If he noticed it then he never talked about it in public.

Just watched Lucy Zelic interview Bert VM on The World Game.

Great interview with no punches pulled.

The man goes in with a Plan B.

I thought some of Lucy's questions were pretty uninspiring tbh...loved his answers though. Actually contained substance rather than the meaningless platitudes we are used to from our national coach.

Foxsports podcast cracks me up.

Kenny Lowe - he is under real pressure!

Johnny - needs another season to correct his mistakes

Okon - don't even talk about him, but forced to for a bit because Ned brings it up. Excuses all round.

Gombau - OMFG he argued with Riera AGAIN! Let's talk about it for 15 minutes

Just reading the Sun-Herald this morning there are seven pages of rugby league and one on Football, it's good to know we are making huge inroads with  media coverage. Well when one considers that last year NRL had eight pages compared to half a page for A League. Things are looking up hey Mr Gallop.

The Nabbout goal is perfect example of how shite our coverage is. If the equivalent of that, whatever it might be, happened in nrl or afl or even ******* aflx, there would be a two page spread about that goal alone in the paper. Instead it's probably just mentioned in the middle of the one article about our game.

That goal should be used for marketing the league for the rest of this season and beyond. One of the best long range strikes I've ever seen.

They just interviewed Morris Iemma on the big sports breakfast about the Southern Sydney bid. They didn’t back down with their questions either which was good.

When asked about Sutherland folk already being Sydney FC fans he basically countered it by saying that his family and the people at his cricket club aren’t so that’ll be fine... He said that if he had to choose his team atm then he has a lot of admiration for the WSW.

He then proceeded to go down the metrics path and made it sound like he’s starting a small business...

So their target support is people who don’t actively follow football?

Question is if they can’t be bothered following smurfs why do they think the will follow new team? Admittedly there would be a group who can’t be bothered commuting to eastern sydney or don’t see smurfs as representing their area.

Craig Foster spoke a while ago that are tragetting the EPL supporters who don't support an A-League team who live in the St George/ Sutherland and of Asian origin.

I really hope they throw out this whole “team for south NSW” bullshit, ridiculous what they are trying to pull.

Exactly.

These people don't understand football tribalism and hatred.

I reckon they would actually make more out of the "franchise" if they went alone as "Southern Sydney" and a Wollongong team came in as a separate entity. The derbies would easily make up for the few Wollongong fans they might gain from a combined consortium.

It just proves that the people in power in football in this country completely misunderstand what makes the game tick, despite the evidence from 180 or more other countries in the world where the game is played.

Did he explain why these eurosnobs are all of sudden going to follow a team in Australia? because unless hey sign Steven Gerard they are going to keep play FIFA on the PlayStation and staying up to watch Liverpool v Man Utd while wearing Barcelona PJs and a Chelsea bed cover

It was more that many Chinese people follow the EPL and they were trying to tap that market.
