Brisbane Roar a couple months ago. :ninja: They are the only team who have lost in a Preliminary qualifying game. Mariners, Roar and Adelaide have also lost in a qualifying Play-Off.

Individual games there have been a few 6-0 losses, the Jets lost to Pohang and Roar to Ulsan.

What’s the worst performance in the ACL by an Australian team ?

First game at Campbelltown must run it close, grim doesn’t even start to describe it

Matt Simon with a bandage around his head arguing with the referee. They should use that image for their framed memorabilia to commemorate their ACL campaign.

Matt Simon hero of Anzac Parade scores his first goal in 2 years against a second string Kashima team to draw.

Actually, if Suwon and Shenhua draw, then Arnold will be in 2 minds

Brillante being called a fraud.

I love it the glimmer of hope continues for Arnold

He’s record in Asia is shocking

Just looked up Melb Vic schedule

R23 v CCM Home (Sun 18-Mar)

R24 v Perth Away  (Sun 25-Mar)

R25 v WSW Home (Sat 31-Mar)

ACL v Ulsan Away (Wed 4-Apr)

R26 v Nix Home (Sun 8-Apr)

The only issue for MV & WSW are the team selections for the Socceroos with Troisi and Risdon in the extended squad.

Add to this that if Muscat wants out of the ACL Group Stage, he needs an away win against Ulsan both on 5 pts but behind on goal difference. Team selection for the southerners will interesting.

Smurf hero, Matt Simon, can't score in the next round as he picked up a second yellow card so is suspended.

Al-hilal lost overnight and bundled out at the group stage.

Smurfs without Wiltshire and Zullo. Bobo on the bench with the spitter up front.

Interesting thread. Just shows it does not pay to make predictions as a hater.

I saw this on twitter:

Fox Sports LabVerified account @FoxSportsLab

The 3 goal margin is the biggest away win for an Australian side in the @TheAFCCL

@SydneyFC become the first Australian team to score 4 goals in an away Champions League match.

In two weeks, if SFC at home win against Shanghai Shenhua, and Kashima Antlers (at home) beat Suwon Bluewings, then Sydney FC are through to the knockout stages.
A very possible scenario.

Yeah we still remember all the overnight Al Hilal fans from ESFC too, made the win just that little bit sweeter.

Smurfs dominate but can’t find a way past the bus parked by Shenhua.

Not that it mattered. The other result means they wouldn’t have progressed anyhow.
