Nope. Has done jack all season. Was nowhere to be seen when really needed. Llorente on the other hand puts in and deserves another year.

Herd gone due to family reasons. Tyson gone because he wants to cook instead. Heard on Twitter he is off to South Melbourne. Semi pro is probably better as it gives him time to go on cooking shows.

Cejudo was a massive fraud will go down as one of the worst marquees in a-league history . A couple of flicks and tricks in round 26 means bugger all .

edit - didn't miss it, just had it down as a 1 year extension. Hmm. Maybe club mucked the dates up and changed it again like with Vedran this week.

Cejudo is probably in the mix for top 20 at the moment.

Sure he has been a big disappointment for the most part of the season, somewhat due to injury.

I like Llorente a lot but his defending at times has been terrible and call me old skool but as a left back it’s part of your job

He has been no worse or better than our other backs, in attack his pass to Ikonomidis to score on the weekend was beautiful.

Going forward he’s awesome, but he stands off his man too much (see Victory at ANZ) or doesn’t track his man (see victory at AAMI)

Cejudo's beautiful chipped goal vs City (?) was great - just for that he's automatically better than many other "marquees"

The coaching staff will have better dea if his injury was genuine or if he’s a sicknote. Looks like the later, could be the former. Happy to keep or release. Prefer under the cap though, he’s getting on so chances of further injury are only gonna get higher, can’t risk losing the marquee for most of the season.

Yeah Cejudo hasn't done enough over the course of a season to warrant renewal, but in the last two games he has been brilliant. If (and it's a big IF) he could play like that all season he would be well worth a spot. Whether his previous lack of form was due to injury or not giving a **** is the main question.

Also, Ninkovic was pretty lackluster in his first season too. If Cejudo is happy to move inside the cap, I think we could see an improvement next season.

Remember Cejudo is already 34 years old. He'll turn 35 by the middle of next season. A few flashes of brilliance at a tail end of a season of mediocrity isn't a great resume to get an extension.

Gombau is probably looking for overseas players that fit his style more.
