Bozanic sitting on the bench at hearts. Would take him in a heartbeat but would probably require a transfer fee.

Hearts are in all sorts, however.

He's played most of the past 3 or 4 matches at least, starting and finishing most of them, and playing well. Before that he was getting regular game time. The manager was changing the starting 11 every week as he always has (with and without a long injury list). Manager now gone. Interim manager making less changes (but with the same level of poor results!)

I'd have Bozanic but I doubt Hearts are looking to let him go.

Just out of curiosity Ed, are you more of a hearts or hibs man?

Is it an issue of having two slots available but no more room in the cap to add more players and with Nizic out and hopefully Verdan to follow it will free some of that cap space to bring in others?

I wouldn’t get too excited if that was the case.

Nizic reportedly on 100k even. Vedran isn’t costing us anything at the moment as his wage is covered by insurance and is reallocated under the cap, most likely towards Lopar. Vedran wage doesn’t become an issue until next season when he is fit.

That would mean we have to find a 6/8/10 who will impact the direction of our season for around 100k + whatever is left in the cap.

It probably isn’t costing the club anything but it will be a different matter when it comes to the salary cap.

It would only work if we brought in a “injury replacement” goal keeper, but Lopar was signed as part of the squad. For example Mueller is the injury replacement for Rado (as in Rado’s exact salary is allocated towards Mueller).

I’d say goal keeper is harder than most to replace because cant bring in a different position to cover a GK, it is a specialist position.

Still no squad thread so I’ll put it here.

We still lack a 10, but we should have options in Jan.

Turns out vidosic was back in Australia pretty much as soon as he left. Apparently the plan is to sign for Adelaide. Is he worth a 6 month deal if we can pinch him?

He's finished, the Indian Premier League is really the exit lounge of football

Babbel and Georgievski get, according to Fox Sports, get a slap on the wrist for their comments on the awarding of the penalty to Heartle$$. The story is attributed to "staff writers".

Current position

A-league team 4th on table on goal diff with 10 pts: 3 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses 10pts

W-League team 2nd on the table on goal difference with 9 pts: 3 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses

Y-league 4th in conference on goal difference with 3 pts: 1 win, 0 draws, 1 loss

I have been extremely loyal to this club from the beginning and suffered 3 years in the doldrums while we and our club leaders tell us all will be great when return to our spiritual home.

We are now home and have spent a shitload of money on players and coach ,we will be running 7th at the best by the end of this round on a continuing slide downwards.

Babbel has proven to be a poor leader and like last season he blamed the players for being unable to follow his game plans.

Babbel has persisted with a team formation that has failed to work effectively , he has openly blamed the team with promises they will come good, sorry but 8 games in I have had enough

Babbel has failed to use his subs effectively.

Babbel does not appear to have any motivation offerings either at training or in a game.

Wanderers club seem to struggle to employ a decent player if there is another club interested , consistently we read about players being made offers and not coming to us or we say they are to expensive.

Because of this we have to resort to a 36 year old Centre forward who is over the hill and bordering on being our worst signing ever.

their is a major underlying problem in this club and I believe like any business it starts at the top.

Owners: Paul Lederer, Jefferson Cheng, Glenn Duncan and David Slade need to make a decision on the performance of CEO:John Tsatsimas.

The CEO like any business is there to take direction from the board and pass down to the employees and working system for a business.

We are now into our 4 year of mediocrity , look at the smurfs , Why cant we get a player like Le fonde , Ninkovic , Grant , Wilkinson,Barborusus , smurfs continue each year to strengthen their squad  we sack them.

Why do good players leave us, Baumjohan, Topor Stanley, Ikonomedis, , Jamison , Spiranovic, Redmayne, Scott Neville , Aron Mooy.

Why did we allow a player like Sotirio cause a such a problem , he was no good for us :(

Why can we get players and hold them for 3 to 4 years ?

How many of our current team do you think will play in the south west next year , my guess is quiet a few :(

A-league team 7th on table on goal diff with 10 pts: 3 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses 10pts

W-League team lead on the table game with 10 pts: 3 wins, 1 draws, 0 losses

Y-league dunno but lost the last 2 with 11 goals scored against them in the last 2 games with 3 pts: 1 win, 0 draws, 3 loss , where is our future,

Nice to have all the great facilities but what are we doing with them look above we a bit grim for youth coming through and those in out Aleague team are struggling.

Why are we always the unlucky ones with penalties going against us  ?

In my opinion and a strong one the snake stinks from the top down so cut of its head , remove Tsatsimas and Babbel and lets start again now and if Lederer and crew cannot support that than sell us.

Lets fix the stench.

In absolute agreement with this. One the main causes of our troubles in the past 3-4 years has been piss-poor recruitment and player retention. Whoever is in charge of this whether it be the coach, board, CEO or agents, has to have the worse record in the league in this regard. I get frustrated when, for example, Forneoroli, was on the transfer list and WSW were not listed as one of the interested parties even though we were in desperate need of a proven striker. Likewise why didn't we pull out all stops to keep Ikonomides or bring back Antonis? Until this issue of recruitment is fixed we will always be in the shadows of teams like SFC and the weekend absolutely showed the disparity between our teams. The superior quality of all 5 of SFC's goals on Saturday were the result of excellent recruitment.

Markus Babbel is fined $3000 for his sins. Fact was Taylor's was far more deliberate and if the VAR in the EPL was used, it would have been handball.
