Carns
Also got 3 games in a week in the first week of 2019. 1st Jan vs City, 5th Jan vs Victory and 8th Jan vs Nux. All home games too. Can we expect a third of our members (or less being peak holiday season) to show up to each one? Link to comment
Erebus
January is a $hitfight. 3 games a week, starting at home but then we're travelling all over the place. Playing games on a Tues and then a Friday, both away. Its a bit ridiculous. Link to comment

Hughesy
I really hope whoever is choosing the two expansion sides is looking very closely at Melbourne City’s memberships figures. If an expansion team doesn’t have any distinguishing factors to the existing team/s in the area, you’re going nowhere (regardless of how much money you have)... wendybr, alexd and LeeMarvin 3 Link to comment

Is the low membership for Melbourne City also a reflection of the real strength of the game in Melbourne? Using registered players as a measure Melbourne/Victoria has the lowest penetration of the game in Australia at 1.1% of population. NSW and ACT are both at 4%. Although Victoria historically has been good at producing elite clubs they haven't been good at penetrating their market with the game. Would this be reflected in membership with any expansion club in Melbourne? If I were making the decision I'd want to see detailed market analysis in any bid documentation. Link to comment
