Vedran - returning from injury

Ziegler- in rehab, meniscus (knee) 2 months

Tongyik- returning from injury

Tokich- status unclear

Grozos - medial ligament 2 months

Bridge - calf injury, rehab, ?

Kamau - returning from injury?

Anyone else?

Ziegler - training with team already, a couple of weeks away

Tokich - broke a bone, back next month

Grozos - back some time next month

Bridge - did his calf in again, expected back late Nov, early Dec (he will feel like a new signing once he is fit again)

Raul - picked up a knock in the derby, sat out the Perth game, and is good again

Definitely promising signs from that game. I would definitely entertain this on the proviso that as a first game every game from here shows improvement. Was great when it came to "defending" aka winning tackles, showing strength, but still looks to switch off and not get into the right positions quickly enough which i would easily say is due to match fitness and not being an a-league regular yet. Also wasn't tested enough with the ball at feet. SO, fingers crossed he has all that in his locker to a degree!

Vedran back but managing his injury.

Club hiding behind international duties for Grozos and Tokich.

Injury Watch: Tuesday 13 November

In our very first instalment of Injury Watch, we give you an update on the progress of various Wanderers player's return from injury.

Mark Bridge has been cleared to start running and travelled with the team last weekend to their community match to Mudgee. 

In Mudgee, Bridge completed a pitch session and three intensive gym sessions. 

Similarly, young gun Kosta Grozos has been cleared to start running and also travelled with the squad to Regional New South Wales. 

Grozos is planned to re-join team training in the next two weeks after completing a pitch session and three intensive gym sessions over the weekend. 


Youngster Mark Tokich has returned to full team training this week and played 30 minutes in a Foxtel Y-League friendly over the weekend. 

Defender Patrick Ziegler's running program has been progressing well with the focus now switching to turning and landing. It is planned that Ziegler will return to full team training within the next week. 

Roly Bonevacia missed the Brisbane Roar match over the weekend due to a calf injury and will return to full team training this week. 

While Ruon Tongyik will be out for the next four weeks with both knee and ankle injuries that were sustained before the Round 3 Wellington Phoenix match.

The list don't mean anything. It's just a way for the FFA to create content prior to the game.

I know but this is the only information we get out of the club on the injury status of our players.
