The list don't mean anything. It's just a way for the FFA to create content prior to the game.

Exactly Gunner, I think Babbel realizes that in the end we don’t have many surprises when it comes to our team or most teams in the A-League.

It’s not like the coaches are tactically flexible or change formations weekly, on top of that the squads have very little depth.

Summary

Bridge weeks away

Ziggy back (obviously)

Roly back next week

Tongyik a couple of weeks away

From the club website

In our latest instalment of Injury Watch, we give you an update on the progress of various Wanderers player's return from injury.
Mark Bridge has increased his running volume and commenced plyometric training and is on schedule for his return in January as planned.

Young gun Kosta Grozos is now able to integrate ball work and increase his volume running. He is all on track for his 6-weeks post-injury return.

In exciting news, Patrick Ziegler is back in full team training and is responding well to training loads.

Roly Bonevacia's hamstring strength is back to individual testing norms pre-injury.

Bonevacia has returned to team training this week and has had no further symptoms following his increase to training volume.

Ruon Tongyik has continued with his individualised strength training program and has had no issues with running volume or change of direction.

The defender will continue progressing to high speed reactive and distance training.

Club did an update.

Bridge who knows, he's not even on the pitch training yet.

Riera did an abductor muscle tear, out for a week supposedly.

ABJ 4 week hamstring tear.

Let's hope he hasn't gone the way of Llorente.

Presumably he is fit and just hasn't forced his way back into the first team yet.

I suspect Riera has been carrying a niggle for a while, Yeboah has suffered with so much game time in a short time when not yet match fit. ABJ just bad luck?

Hamill has some kind of leg injury which is why he's out.

So maybe Ziggy will start on Friday with Tass, Tate and Matthieu. We needed leadership tonight and Ziggy will give that in spades.

O'Doherty and Tokich as DMs

Kamau, Roly, Fitzgerald

Riera up top.

I'd like to see Majok start up front with Riera playing an AM type role. Let's face it, Riera is not the quickest but he can defend and can pass a ball.

Relieved to hear he didn't just rate Elrich higher as a CB. Can't believe he starts every week. Shows you the utter lack of depth in our squad (apart from the wing).

Ziggy won't be playing. He said on Twitter that his knee flared up after rushing back into the squad after surgery. I think they'll be extra safe this time around before putting him back on the pitch.

Bridge & Ziggy both having their injury made worse by being rushed back into the training is not a good look. Isn't that flash new fitness coach meant to not be doing stupid risky **** like that?

Pretty sure Ziggy came back into the side before the new fitness guy came in?

I dunno. Not sure if we'll even see any benefit from him this season.

I think we might have pushed him too hard on his return. I know we needed him back, but that period from Jan 1st to January 8th he played a full 90, had 3 days rest, played another full 90 and only had 2 days rest before the 90 minutes that was his last game before the injury.

He isn't listed in the match day squad for tomorrow, that'll make 4 games he's missed with no apparent return in sight.

Are we expecting ABJ back for the Jets game? What's the official word on Ziggy's return? Finally, is Risdon available?
