Ziggler Aussie this month, Bruno plays for us vs City on New Years Day #WishfulThinking It's either Bruno or Jedi IMO as both will want Marquee deals. Unless Riera goes. Link to comment
Erebus
Bruno can take a pay cut for half a season if it guarantees he plays. They can sort out wages for next season. Take them both. Edinburgh and theguyyouwishyouwere 1 1 Link to comment
theguyyouwishyouwere
you'd have to take Jedi cos he's a westie and a ****en boss, and he won't be the kinda player who will refuse to travel to sit on the bench Link to comment

So from the previous posts I conclude that our greatest problem is that a) at one end of the pitch we can't put the ball in the net and, b) at the other end of the pitch we can't keep the ball out of the net. Soo... just swap the attackers for defenders and vice versa? You're welcome, Babs. ZachMercer and Edinburgh 2 Link to comment
LeeMarvin
After listening to our 2-0 defeat the previous week on the radio I didn't watch or listen to this game as I didn't think I could bear further pain inflicted by the anticipated (unfortunately correctly) outcome. Today is the first time I have checked the forum since. However strangely, having come back here and read how that pain is shared somehow makes me feel a bit better. I agree that the issues more relate to three different managers picking players before leaving (and all with their preferred style of play and player). There is no doubt when the general punter calls the owners tight they disregard the investment in academy and wsw HQ. But yes I think you hit the nail on the head whilst MV unveil Honda our marquees of past haven’t matched up, but without knowing what popa wanted we don’t know if the funds were there or not. Football clubs aren’t money making ventures unless you are the yank buying cattle for his ranches USA like kroenke at arsenal. We could be better off with the Russian at esfc or we could be worse with someone like Charlesworth at mariners the only thing that always bothers me about lederer is it was never his fortune his uncle left it to him and he sold promo for almost 1.5 billion and Mack his net worth is closer to 800 million form the last BWR richlist and he lives in a close to a 30 million home so if he wanted his wallet could be a little more open... unsure of other owners but lederer could have got someone like Honda if we wanted hell he could bring in zlatan! ZachMercer
I think we can't recruit the likes of a Honda, etc. or for that matter retain standouts because we have a cultural problem inside the club. Players and agents talk and I've always felt that after the club world cup (don't remember its name) and the player pay issue we've tarnished our reputation with players. Link to comment
mack
What I don't get about the academy/HQ is how long it's taking. Melbourne City bought Melbourne Heart in January 2014 and completed their academy/office project in February, a little over a year later. The Wanderers confirmed the design and signed the documents regarding the Blacktown training base/hq/academy in December 2014, and it's still not complete. That it's been 4 years and it's not done suggests the club is using ongoing revenue to pay for bits and pieces. sonar 1 Link to comment

mack
Is the Council/Government involved in it apart from having given over the land? Link to comment

I don’t think so A few foreigners still go to Chinese clubs even though they have terrible history with player payments, general welfare, team culture, etc. Link to comment
