mack
Oh good, we've now given every major role in the national setup to Arnold, a man who built his reputation by stealing players from Western Sydney, then going to Sydney FC and not developing any youth prospects while failing at every attempt he's made at winning a continental trophy. Edinburgh
Part of a Matildas article I found on facebook The preparations of the Matildas and Australia’s U-23 men’s national football team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have received a boost, with confirmation that the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) will be providing high performance funding to both teams to prepare for and compete in Japan. Following on from Australia and New Zealand’s successful bid to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ a fortnight ago, the AIS has committed to a continuation of high performance funding for the Matildas until post-Tokyo, and provided a one-off high performance funding grant to support Australia’s U-23 men’s national football team ahead of their first participation at the Olympics since Beijing 2008. The men’s squad will receive $400,000 to support their preparation and participation at Tokyo 2020, with the funding coming as part of the Federal Government’s $50.6m investment in high performance sport over the next two years. wendybr, sonar, Paul01 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

THEWANDERERSPOST
Olyroos down 3-0 40 minutes in. Keanu Baccus looks to be doing fairly well. Tass could be doing a lot better, 2nd goal he should've cleared the cross. Link to comment

Davo
Feels like a step up from Caltex and more in line with the old Qantas Socceroos days. Good to see that the Matildas have been included as well, although with the way they're playing, the growing profile of women's sport and the upcoming Women's World Cup you could argue that it's good to see the Soceroos have been included. wendybr 1 Link to comment

Sithslayer1991
Go in with zero expectations. However having grouped Spain and Argentina you know there will be European scouts present. Paul01
Listened warily to Graham Arnold on the Box-2-box pod. For the Olyroos, he mentioned Glover and Margush in the same sentence as good goalkeepers. Also said that locally based Olyroos will play in the finals series (if their team makes it) DinoPresinger and wendybr 2 Link to comment
