Anyone know where I could find out if it's possible to watch Socceroos training the day before the Perth match?

Well, looks like I won't need to concern myself with that.

All AFC WC qualifiers to be cancelled and rescheduled for October and later subject to FIFA approval (of the alternate schedule?)

Flights, accommodation and tickets all arranged and paid for. Assuming the cancellation is confirmed, I wonder what I can salvage.

The Dutch have their total football, the Italians Catenaccio, the Brazilians Jogo Bonito.

We'll have a philosophy based on building a team around Rhyan Grant...

Oh good, we've now given every major role in the national setup to Arnold, a man who built his reputation by stealing players from Western Sydney, then going to Sydney FC and not developing any youth prospects while failing at every attempt he's made at winning a continental trophy.

He's also supposedly paid $1.4M, which is ridiculous.

Part of a Matildas article I found on facebook

The preparations of the Matildas and Australia’s U-23 men’s national football team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have received a boost, with confirmation that the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) will be providing high performance funding to both teams to prepare for and compete in Japan.

Following on from Australia and New Zealand’s successful bid to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ a fortnight ago, the AIS has committed to a continuation of high performance funding for the Matildas until post-Tokyo, and provided a one-off high performance funding grant to support Australia’s U-23 men’s national football team ahead of their first participation at the Olympics since Beijing 2008.

The men’s squad will receive $400,000 to support their preparation and participation at Tokyo 2020, with the funding coming as part of the Federal Government’s $50.6m investment in high performance sport over the next two years.

It seems that the Socceroos are playing a friendly in London next month against USA according to Vince Rugari on twitter, likely to be European based players only.

Nearly a year since our last game.
