I think Babbel is playing a wait and see game with Roly......Mitch Duke wants him to stay.......the manager seems so so at the present.

Despite the popularity of Bonevacia among his peers, it appears he is yet to convince Markus Babbel he is worthy of a new deal just yet. The Wanderers coach says he is yet to enter talks with Bonevacia and the players' agent just yet despite interest the interest of the ladder-leading Glory .

"We are not talking at the moment about the future. So we are still working that we get more results, that we come in a better way. It's up to him. If he's bringing this now every week, of course there's a chance there. If not, we have to have a discussion and make a decision," Babbel said.

The Wanderers coach was impressed with the midfielder's form of late but insists he wants to see more consistency before choosing whether to re-sign him for next season but will not have the luxury of time to make that decision.

"This is what I expect from him. He's a foreigner, a player with a big talent, but he has to show it more," Babbel said.

"This is what I expect from a player with this quality - not show it once in two or three months, show it regular. This is the next target for him, to show the same performance because it was not only that he scored the goal or did an assist, he was also fantastic working against the ball and helped the team a lot."

I think it is fair to say that utilising this shithole has been a glorious **** up.

The combination of garbage squads, poor scheduling, over zealous police and underwhelming fan engagement have laid the platform for it all.

The sooner we see the back of the whole SOP... the better!

Seems like Babbel had a really good read on Roly and is quite cautious. I like

I would LOVE to have Brattan playing for us - but he seems to be playing regularly now for City.

Why would they want to part with him??  Is he still a genuine possibility for us??

Brattan is a loan player from Manchester City, and will return to them at the end of the season. We were definitely looking at him in the last transfer window. When MB was asked about Brattan joining WSW he said "too expensive".

plus Brattan is a grade A cock nearing Nichols levels. No Brisbane grand final winners please. Every single one of them still in the league is 100% unlikeable.

Brattan left Roar in the pre-season of 15/16 because they hadn't paid him. He signed a 4 year contract covering 15/16, 16/17, 17/18 and 18/19 with Manchester City. He spent the first 6 months of that contract on loan to Bolton, didn't play a game and went back to City. He did nothing for the last 6 months of the first season (although I assume he was training somewhere in the CFG sphere of influence).

The next 3 seasons he has been on loan to Melbourne City.

His contract expires at the end of this season.

The four years went quickly, I didn't realize that he is a free agent after this season. With the Manchester-Melbourne link out of the way him signing up with us appears much more likely then. For better, for worse.

Nichols was and is a bit of a panhead, but have there been any better LOL moments than him giving the V’s to the Brisbane fans? Maybe La Rocca’s Westside at the derby but outside of that..... ? Anyway, I digress. Brattain is pretty tidy and certainly better than our current.

I am so conflicted with Brattan yea his a good player but his just such a dropkick. I think he surpasses Nichols and enters Kevin Muscat territory in levels of dropkick

Wendy will approve...she wants to **** him all over going by the posts about him over the years...or maybe that was when he had long hair...

Anyway, I would take him as well if we can get him...

Wonder what the total number is of opposing players grabbing Santa by the throat after a "late" challenge, seemed a weekly affair at one stage, ahh miss those moments......

Yep that was always the way. Santa come on around 70th minute run around and boot someone over inside of 5 and score inside of 15

He would miss 1 in 5 games due to suspension and another couple for his shoulder falling off

He had a rolling injury problem, almost like there was never a week when he wasn’t carrying something
