We really should get an idea of the squad on the pitch in the 1st & 2nd half before we panic but you're right, we need a recognised striker more sooner than later.

Cordier, Mourdoukoutas, Kamau, Baccus, Monge, Carluccio, Trew and Suman were second half subs around the hour mark.

Elrich, Georgievski, Wilmering stayed on presumably until the end of the game.

Although I feel worried, I'm gonna stay calm. We fielded a lot of 2nd team players and youth players. Still very frustrating though. Can anyone shed some light on it?

Trial match. MB treats them like that. If you can't experiment behind closed doors, with no paying customers to consider, when can you?

Jurman, Ziegler, Duke, Grozos yet to return, CF yet to be signed. That's half of a starting 11, or just about.

Match reports sounded like we were dominant, just couldn't finish some good chances. That plus the fact we were playing a somewhat rested side, I wouldn't panic.

Grozos is not first XI material. Ziggy hasn’t played in 6 months. Jurman hasn’t played with us at all. The CF that is supposedly “in the works” doesn’t count either.

Winning creates a better atmosphere, and a better atmosphere helps winning. And only one of these things is controlled by the team. Concentrate on winning and the bums on seats will come.

Yep, we used those players who trained yesterday & gave returning YS (other than Tate who is still suffering from headaches) 30 mins to stretch their legs.

Tarek played LCB all game. 

DG switched from RWB to LWB when Kamau came on.

Wilmering played LWB then switched to DM when the changes were made.

It's the off-season & they have been getting flogged at training.

We will taper for next week's game & hopefully get a body or two back from the injury ward

That sunshine up in QLD, is frying your brain.

Aussie Patrick will be back in full training in a couple of weeks. He had a similar injury to Duke. Ask yourself why he has been out for exactly 12 months, but, think about whether you have a good legal team before you make any further comment.  

Jurman is training, but his fitness isn't at the level to be playing competitive games atm. He'll be right to go, in a couple of weeks.
